[6:30 in the morning? Well, I guess I can get up now.] Kim thought as she climbed off her bed and put on a pair of bicycle shorts and a sports bra. After the episode with Tommy last night, Kim had walked back to her room, lain down, and just cried. She was very mad at herself for not having the courage to tell Tommy how she feels about him since having courage had never been a problem with herself. She had wanted to tell him so much how she loved him, but she hadn't been able to. Kim had also realized that by not telling Tommy how she felt about him and casting him aside last night that she had probably blown her chance with him. [The look on his face] Kim thought as she opened her door and walked to the beach. [That look had all but tore out my heart.
Damn me for not telling how I really feel about him!! Here, Tommy was even the one who took the first step, and I still couldn't tell him how I felt. What is the matter with me???? I guess it's just because . . . because I don't know why he would want to take me back after what I did to him.] Kim thought as she jogged down a path that went past a rocky ledge near the pool. "Ohh," Kim said as she stopped abruptly when she saw Eric and Tommy practicing a kata on the ledge.
Eric was peforming with sharp, precise movements while Tommy was executing sloppy moves very slowly. "Tommy . . ." Kim whispered as she sank down against a tree and began to cry.
"I . . .uhh," Tommy mumbled as his gaze traveled to the ocean. He hadn't gotten any sleep last night and as he and Eric had gone through a series of katas that morning his mind had been elsewhere. His mind had been on Kim. He couldn't believe that she had pushed him away last night. It had seemed to Tommy that since she had been back they had reverted back to the time when they both had had crushes on each other. However, Tommy now realized that he had thought wrong, so he now believed that Kim didn't want him back.
"Tommy, what happened between you and Kim last night," Eric asked bluntly.
"How'd you know me and Kim . . ."
"I was coming out of that boring board meeting and saw her call after you, but then not say anything else."
"I don't want to talk about it."
Eric sat down and motioned for Tommy to sit down next to him. "You told her how you still felt about her last night, didn't you?"
"Wha . . .yeah. I kissed her . . . and she pushed me away and said that what I had done was wrong. I . . .I don't understand what I did wrong," Tommy said with his voice choked full of emotion and tears spilling down his cheeks.
"Listen, she still loves you. I know because I can see it in her eyes, but don't you get it? You're still going out with Kat. She probably feels wrong doing what she did while she knows you're still going out with Kat. Besides the fact that Kim is so fragile and scared about being in a realtionship after what happened to her mom. She wants to make sure she'll have a ever-lasting relationship. She is also probably scared to tell you how she feels because she's the one who broke up with you. Just take your time with her. I know you don't want to lose her; you're going to have to be patient this time."
"You think . . .it's just that I don't know if I can take it anymore!!! I want to take her in my arms and hold her and never let go!"
"Cool it Romeo. You're just going to have to wait until she's ready."
"I don't know," Tommy said standing up. "Wait," he said looking down and finding Kim crying at the base of a tree. "I'm going down to see what is bothering her."
"Just don't push her."
"I won't," Tommy said solemnly, "I don't want to lose her."
"Oh yeah," Kim said hastily wiping the tears away from her eyes. "I tripped and I think I sprained my ankle but . . ."
"Here, let me see," Tommy said as he gently picked up Kim's ankle and held it. "No, you're fine.
"I thought so."
"Yeah," Tommy said as he gazed into Kim's eyes. "So . . ."
"Umm . . ." Kim said staring back.
"Umm, you want to head back to the hotel?"
"Sure," Kim replied as Tommy gave her a hand to help her up. As their fingers touched, each could feel sparks of electricity shoot throught every nerve. Tommy held her hand a bit longer after she got up, but then he realized what he was doing, so he dropped her hand. They both jogged back to the hotel in silence because both were unable to speak.
"So why don't you wake up the girls, and I'll wake up the guys, and we'll all meet down here and go get breakfast," Tommy said as they walked into the lobby.
"Sure," Kim replied.
"I hope they have room for three more," a voice called out.
"Yeah man. I'm so hungry I could eat . . ."
"Everything out at the buffet table probably! I can't believe you, you just ate!!"
Kim and Tommy stared at each other in disbelief with their eyes wide open.
"No way," Kim said as she grabbed Tommy's right forearm, "do you think it could be . . ." "Naw," Tommy said as he grasped Kim's right forearm so that they were facing each other, "could it?"
"Well why don't you two dorks turn around and see," Zack said.
"Zack," Kim squealed as she turned around and literally pounced on him. She jumped onto him and wrapped her legs around his torso, and the momentum of her actions caused them both to topple to the ground.The handsome boy dressed in a white t-shirt and black shorts dreads flew up as they did.
"Geez girl, do you always have to be so emotional," Zack said laughing as he helped Kim to her feet.
"It's just so good to see you again," Kim said hugging him.
"You to Kimmie," Zack replied.
"Bro," Jason said as he and Tommy clasped a hand.
"Hey man," Tommy said pulling Jason toward him and giving him a hug. "How have you been since . . . your loss of the Gold Ranger Powers," Tommy asked speaking the last three words quietly.
"Better. I've just been chillin' up at the lake. Thanks for letting me use your uncle's cabin. You know, I never realized how bad you had had it until then; I'm sorry I wasn't there for you man."
"No sweat Jas. I'm just glad to see that you're feeling better."
"Kim," Trini said as tears came to her eyes, and she noticed in her best friend's eyes also.
"Trini," Kim said grabbing her friend in a tight embrace. "I've missed you so much. It has been so hard without you."
"You too," Trini said letting go and wiping the tears from her eyes.
"Oh Tommy, I've missed you so much," Zack said mimicking Kim.
"Me too Zack. It's been so long," Tommy said acting like Trini as he and Zack quickly embraced and let go in the playful manner the boys did whenever they were mimicking the girls.
"Oh shut up," Trini said hitting Zack as Kim did the same to Tommy. As Kim touched Tommy fire both sprang through them once again, and their eyes flew up to each others. Zack, Trini, and Jason exchanged amused, puzzled looks, but Kim finally broke the intense gaze she had shared with Tommy and went over to Jason as Tommy went over to Trini and hugged her.
"No more scuba-diving right Jas," Kim said giggling as she went over to the dark-haired, muscular man dressed in all black that she referred to as a "teddy bear."
"Kimmie, you know we could have taken that witch," Jason said as he returned the hug. "You know, I think that was the third time I was evil. And your . . ."
"Fifth time. And please don't remind me!"
Tommy who had heard the last bit of their discussion immediately had to join in by saying,"You all know I'm like the king of evil though," which caused the whole group to burst out laughing, something they were able to do now that those crappy times had passed.
"I thought this particular commotion sounded familiar. You all know that I was the best at being evil though!"
Trini's eyes lit up as the Asian-American girl with jet back hair, dark eyes, and the sweetest smile whispered, "Billy," and spun around. Both of them stood there for a couple of moments, unsure of what to do after what had occured between them. During Trini's absence, they both had kept up a day-to-day correspondence with each other, and in Trini's letters she had always hinted about how she felt about him, but Billy, bright in every subject except love, had failed to pick up on Trini's hints . . .until the last letter he had wrote her. In it, Billy had spoke directly from his soul . . . and heart, telling her how he had always loved her, but thought that someone as beautiful and intelligent as she was would never pursue a relationship with someone like him. Trini had responded to him immediately, telling him that he was the only she had ever wanted. They had agreed that Billy would come back in the following month. However, Eric's invitation now gave them the chance to talk out their feelings and be together at last.
Billy in Trini's presence had somehow managed to revert himself back to the shy freshman he had been in high school, and awkwardly mumbled,"Trini you look absolutely gorgeous," as he gazed at her lovingly in the white, gauzy dress she was wearing.
"I can't believe how much you have changed,"Trini said admiring Billy's new look. His hair had blond highlights, his body was well-toned and defined, and he looked very handsome in a pair of jeans and a tight blue muscle shirt.
"You don't like it," Billy said self-consciously looking down at his shoes.
"Don't like it," Trini said as she walked over to Billy and tilted his head up so that she could gaze into his eyes, "I love it." Trini leaned over and gently placed a kiss onto Billy's soft lips.
As the two broke apart, of course Zack, Jason, Tommy, and Kim had to go,"Ooooo!"
Kim's face broke out in a huge grin and she said,"It's about time you two got together," as she put her hands on her hips.
Tommy started laughing and said,"Yeah, and Zack thought I took a long time with Kim." However, as soon as he realized what he had said his face became very pale and a look of depression came over Tommy's face.
After what Tommy had said, Kim could only look at the floor and barely managed to get out a weak,"Ha."
Billy gazed at Trini inquisitively and said,"What . . ."
Trini immediately covered Billy's mouth with her hand and shook her head. She leaned over and whispered, "I'll tell you about it later."
Zack knowing that everyone was very uncomfortable broke the silence by asking, "So how about we eat?"
Just as he did though, another voice called out,"Kim, is that you?"
Kim turned around and stared incredously at the man. "Ashe?" She ran over to him and gave him a hug, and then both walked back to the little group. Kim introduced him to everyone, and they all felt that Ashe would easily fit in with all of them.
"Come on," Zack said practically begging,"can we p-l-e-a-s-e eat now?"
"Sounds good to me,"Ashe said rubbing his palms up and down, "I could really go for a bacon and tomato with mustard, pepper, and . . . peanut butter!"
"PEANUT BUTTER," the whole group except Zack shouted at once.
"Are you for real? I thought I was the only one that liked that,"Zack said.
"Of course I do!! Who doesn't?"
"Ashe," Zack said putting his arm around Ashe as they started walking towards the one of the hotel's restraunts,"I have a feeling you and me are going to be good bros.
Kimberly and Trini looked at each other with their noses wrinkled up in total disgust and said,"Disgusting," as they followed the boys.
Billy, Tommy, and Jason stood in disbelief and said, "Peanut butter?"
Tanya, Adam, Rocky, and Kat walked over to the guys delighted with the fact that they knew
EVERYONE was there. "I guess everyone is here," Tanya said.
"Yeah, were all going to get lunch now,"Jason said as he went after Kim and Trini shaking his head in disgust.
"Cool, I am starving," Rocky exclaimed.
"Why do you guys look so sick," Kat asked as she glanced with a look of concern on her face at Tommy.
"You don't even want to know," Tommy said as the remaining teens started heading over towards the restaurant.
"Oh come on," Adam said taking Tanya's hand as they followed the rest.
"Well, Ashe . . ."
"Ashe is here," Kat asked with a neutral look on her face.
"Yeah, he said when he got home from that club we went to he found a letter saying that he had won some contest and in the letter was an airplane ticket, some money, and a slip with his hotel reservation on it."
"Weird," Rocky said and then added," so why did you guys look so sick?"
"Oh yeah, Ashe and Zack were excited about getting bacon and tomatoes with peanut butter."
"Gross," Tanya and Kat exclaimed.
"PEANUT BUTTER,"Rocky exclaimed, "I thought I was the only one!!" Rocky bolted after Zack and Ashe yelling, "Guys wait up!!! I love peanut butter too!!!"
"What was that," Kim asked as she bolted upright in the lounge chair she was laying on.
"It's about time you joined us girl," Zack said as he playfully dunked Angela underneath the water.
She came up and with a stern look and said,"Zack . . ."
"You know I am just playing girl,"Zack said as he gave Angela a quick peck on the cheek.
"Well what happened??!!"
"Rocky just got slapped by this girl,"Jason said laughing as Emily came up from behind and tickled his sides while giving him a sweet kiss on the neck.
"Huh,"Kim asked very confused.
"Rocky spotted this girl, and I guess she speaks spanish, so he said he was going to go up to her and say you are as beautiful as the sun,"Trini said as Billy wrapped his arms around her.
"Oh great," Kim said shaking her head,"so what did he end up saying to her?"
"What did he say again Billy,"Trini asked.
"He said to her tu eres tan bonita como un perro."
"Translation,"Kim asked.
"He said,"Billy managed to get out while already starting to burst out laughing,"you are as beautiful as a dog."
"Oh no," Kim said laughing. Then she looked around and saw everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. She particularly noticed that everyone was paired up and having way too much fun in her eyes. Kim rolled over on her side and began to play that scene over and over again.
"What's up with her," Zack asked Adam.
Adam glanced over at Kim and then said,"I don't know if I should say anything."
"Adam, come on. If something is wrong with Kimmie, I gotta know. I can solve anyone's problems,"Zack said grinning triumphantly.
"I don't know about this one,"Adam said shaking his head. Then he leaned over and told Zack the whole deal.
"Aww man,"Zack said throwing his hands in the air in an exasperated manner.
"I know, and I think something horrible happened last night. See, I saw them go off together, and I think they were going to go ride Eric's bike and watch the sunset. Anyway, for some strange reason I feel like Tommy must have told Kim that he still loves her, and Kim must have like rejected him for what reason I don't know."
"I do. Kim and me used to talk about, you know, personal stuff, and she always said how scared she was about getting involved in a relationship because of what happened to her mom."
"Really? From the way those two acted I never would of thought that."
"I know, but Trini told me that towards the end, right before she was going to leave, that Kim thought that they were getting really serious. Tommy started telling her about how he hoped he could open up a karate studio, and how he hoped that they would have a nice house right by the beach and . . ."
"And . . ."
" . . . and how he hoped that they could have a boy and a girl because Tommy couldn't think of anyone else that he could ever consider having children with and spending the rest of his life with."
"Wow!! I'd think with Tommy talking about that kind of committment that Kim would not even be afraid of them breaking up and stuff."
"I know, but she got too scared. You know Kim Adam. She's so small, and fragile. She tries to come off being stong and courageous, but deep down Kim's so afraid of making the wrong mistake with a guy that she backs down and totally shuts herself off from everyone."
"I just . . ."
"Just don't tell him he's being an idiot, you know how he gets when you say that," Zack said smiling.
"I wouldn't dare," Jason said as he walked over to Tommy. "Uh Tommy, can I talk to you for a minute . . . alone," Jas asked as he glanced over at Kat.
Kat glanced over at Tommy and Jas with what appeared to be a look of dread on her face and said,"Sure, I'll just . . ."
At the same moment Ashe looked over at Kat, noticed her worried expression, and said,"Kat, why don't you come over here and tell me more about where you were from? You know, I'm from Sydney."
"You are," Kat asked in amazement,"so am I. I'll see you in a bit," Kat said as she gave Tommy a quick peck and swam over to Ashe.
"Sure," Tommy replied with a weak grin. Tommy glanced over sadly at Kim and then turned to Jas and said,"So, what is it you wanted to talk about?"
"I don't know if you have noticed bro, but Kim hasn't really been herself, and we all thought you should go over and talk to her. You should see if she'll at least get in the pool with us."
"I don't know man. I don't really want . . ."
"Just go," Jason said with a stern look on his face.
Tommy glanced over again at Kim and then back to his friend and said," Alright, but this is for you." Then he walked over to Kim.
"No, this is for you," Jas said as he watched his friend walk away.
"Tommy," Kim said and then bolted upright in her chair almost knocking Tommy off in the process.
"I . . .umm just wanted to make sure you were alright. We are on vacation," Tommy said managing a weak smile.
"I know," Kim said returning a weak smile of her own. "I just want to be alone."
"Oh," Tommy said. {I can't take much more of this!! She won't even talk to me!} He then looked down at Kim's petite figure, admiring every curve and her strong form, but then noticed how red her skin was becoming. Kim had already gotten back the medium brown shade of color that she always had, but she was now becoming quite red. "Kim, did you put on any sunblock?"
"No," Kim said sheepishly," I was so pale;I just had to get a tan."
{You look beautiful at any color your at} "Do you want Billy to come over here and lecture you? You know what he said about the ozone depletion and ultra-violet rays and . . ."
"And I don't need a lecture. I'm a big girl;I can take care of myself. Here, would you put some on my back," Kim asked as she grabbed a bottle of lotion out of her bag.
"Umm . . . sure," Tommy said as he took the bottle and glanced over at Kat. She was deeply engrossed in whatever Ashe was saying.{Thank God for that! Sometimes it seems like he always is there just when . . .} At that moment Ashe glanced over at Tommy and smiled, and for some strange reason Tommy felt compelled to return it, so he did.{Weird, now . . .} Tommy thought as he glanced down at Kim. She had moved right in front of Tommy so her back was facing him and had pulled her hair off her back.
"Well, are you going to just sit there or are you going to put the sunblock on silly," Kim said turning her head around so she could see Tommy.
"Oh yeah," Tommy said as he poured some sunblock into his hands.{How am I going to control myself??!!} Tommy closed his eyes and gently reached out and set his hands down on Kim's back. A feeling of such utter warmth and love slowly spread throughout his body as he began to knead Kim's back that he felt like he was in a completely different world, apart from the rest of the gang. {Kim . . .}Tommy thought as he continued to rub the lotion into Kim's back.
{I just needed someone to put sunblock on;I just needed someone to put sunblock on}Kim kept repeating in her mind as Tommy massaged her back. {Yeah right, I just wanted him to touch me. Tommy's hands are so stong, yet soft, and I love them}Kim thought as tears sprang to her eyes. She quickly wiped them away though.{Stop it!! . . .Tommy can give the best backrubs though. Even when Tommy was the worst injured after all of those fights we had back in the day, he'd still ask me if I was hurt and give me a backrub. He did care about me so much. Oh . . . what was that?} Kim opened her eyes and looked around to see Tommy nuzzling the nape of her neck with his cheek. {Oh wow} Kim thought as a feeling of such pure love rushed through her body. However, that feelng faded fast as Kim looked over at Kat to find her watching them intently with a grim line set on her mouth. When she saw Kim looking at her though, she quickly turned away. {Great} Kim thought as she quickly pushed Tommy off of her. "That's good enough, why don't you go back to Kat now," Kim said sternly.
"Wha . . . aren't you going to come join us," Tommy pleaded with his big brown eyes.
With a look that was quite familiar to Kim, an evil look, she said," Go back to your girlfriend."
Tears sprang to Tommy's eyes as Kim picked up her things and walked back to the hotel. "But I don't want to . . ."
"Don't even give me that look guys! I called Kim and told her to meet us down here. She said she would, but that she was running a little late. Just cool your jets," Tanya said as she played with the little knot on her floral wrap-around skirt.
"Yeah, you know girls! They always have to make sure everything is perfect. Give them 20 minutes and they'll take an hour," Rocky said laughing along with the rest of the other guys at his remark.
"Watch your mouth. You might just get slapped again," Kat said.
"Go girl," Tanya replied.
"Uh-huh," Trini added.
"So when is the group going on," Kim asked. Kim walked up to rest of the group in a strapless lavender dress cut just above her knees. It was loose, and had a v-neck collar that was ruffled at the edges. Her hair was twisted up onto her head in a pile of curls held by two criss-crossed sticks, and she had on a pair of cream wedges that made her at least eye-level with everyone.
Tommy gulped loudly, and then stared down at his feet, unable to meet her gaze.{How can she always look so gorgeous?? It's just not fair.} "Eric said they'll be going on any minute," Tommy replied.
"Oh,"Kim said as she glanced longingly over Tommy. He had on his black docs of course, a pair of tight back jeans, and a loose, red dress shirt that was ruffle down the middle. His hair was once again down and wavy which was the way Kim had always loved it on Tommy.{Oh jeez stop drooling}
"Well hello everyone," Eric said as he stood up on the stage. The crowd went wild, and Eric waited until they quieted down. "It is my pleasure to announce the group you have all been waiting for: SAVAGE GARDEN."
The crowd once again went wild as Eric walked off the stage and Savage Garden walked on.
The lead singer walked up to the mic and said,"Well, hello from down under."
Ashe whispered into Kat's ear,"Ahh more fellow Australians."
"Makes you proud, huh," Kat said giggling into Ashe's ear.
"Geez, I didn't know we had so many fans," Darren, the lead singer said as he gazed out at the audience. "Well, I guess practicing that you want fries with that wasn't needed, huh Daniel?" This remark caused everyone to burst out laughing.
"I guess."
"Alright, enough chitter-chatter. Lets play," Darren said as they began to sing their most recent hit "I Want You".
Ashe slowly weaved his way through the crowd to where Jason and Zack were standing with Emily and Samantha. "Can I talk to you guys for a minute?"
Zack and Jas exchanged puzzled looks and then said,"Sure."
"Excuse us ladies," Zack said kissing Angela's hand.
"I'll be right back," Jas said kissing Emily.
"Sorry to interrupt guys," Ashe said as soon as they had gotten far enough away from everyone in the gang.
"No problemo," Zack said.
"Listen, we've got to do something about Kim and Tommy," Ashe said.
"Hold up, you know," Zack said surprised.
"Yeah, two weeks ago . . ." Ashe said as he told them quickly what had happened two weeks ago at the club. "Anyway, I asked Eric what songs the group is going to play, and he said the group is going in order of the songs on their CD. So the next song they're going to play is this slow one and I thought that I could grab Kat and . . ."
"Ask her to dance so Tommy and Kim could be alone," Jason finished. "Good thinking man."
"Yeah sweet," Zack added. Zack glanced toward the stage and noticed they were getting ready for the next song. "Just one question bro."
"Shoot."
"Why do you care about Kim so much? I mean,not to be mean, but you don't even know her that well."
"That's the weird thing. I have absolutely no idea. I just feel like we have some sort of bond or . . naw forget it."
"No man. It's fine; you never know," Jas said.
"Yeah," Ashe said shaking his head," I better get going."
"Good luck," Jason and Zack said they crossed their fingers.
"Kat?"
"Can it wait Ashe, I was just going to ask . . ."
"That's the thing. I was going to ask if you wanted to dance with me."
Kat gazed in to Ashe's eyes and felt as if she were looking at her soul mate. "Sure."
Ashe took Kat into his arms and held her close. {If it finally works out for Kim and Tommy . . .I am going to feel so bad about doing this to Kat}Then Ashe looked into her eyes and saw the radiant smile she had on her face. {Or maybe not . . .}
"Oh Tommy," Kim said putting a hand over his.
Tommy smiled down at her meekly and asked,"I don't suppose you would want to dance with me, huh?"
"You know I would," Kim said as she put her arms around his neck.
Tommy didn't want to push, so he held her at an arm's distance away.
"I won't bite," Kim said as she moved closer to Tommy and moved his arms so that they were wrapped tightly around her. She rested her head down on Tommy's shoulder and he placed his head upon hers.
{Oh Kim, I know you want to tell me. Just please say it soon. You know I still love you more than life itself and that I would never ever hurt you. God, you know how sick I get whenever someone or something hurts you . . .I could never, ever hurt you. Why can't you see?}
{How can I go up to Tommy and do all of that but not tell him how I feel? I'm such a wimp. I love you and need you so much, but . . . I'm just so scared I'll get hurt. I mean, I saw the looks you were giving Kat before I left. That's part of the reason I broke up with you. Maybe you'll find someone prettier and just leave me like my dad did to my mom. It's not like I'm that great anyway, and besides after what I did to you how could I ever deserve someone like you. You waited and waited for me, and what did I do? I dumped you for . . . for your own good!!! Oh geez, these lyrics . . .}

{Maybe I should at least try. if I don't I'll always wonder.} Kim lifted her head up gently and said,"Tommy, I've got to tell you something."
"What," Tommy said anxiously and then calmed himself down and said slowly,"I mean, what do you want to say Kim?"
Kim took a big gulp of air, exhaled slowly, and said,"Okay. I . . .lo . . .I lo . . ."
"Yes . . ."
"I lo . . ."{Why can't I say it?}
Patience had never been a trait Tommy possesed. His willpower slowly gave out and anger came about, so he grasped Kim's arms and shouted,"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST TELL ME????"
Kim gasped in surprise from Tommy's sudden action as tears sprang to her eyes and she said,"Don't push me! Maybe I don't care about you anymore you . . . you . . . oh," Kim said as she covered her mouth with her hands and ran towards the hotel.
"Shit," Tommy said as he chased after Kim caling, "wait!!"
Eric saw the whole situation unfold from the stage, shook his head, and mumbled,"When will that boy ever learn?"
{Great, I've got to keep dancing with her, but, my asthma . . .} Ashe thought as he closed his eyes and tried to control his breathing. The wind had picked up the pollen in the air which majorly agitated Ashe's lungs.{Just a little . . . forget it. You need to go inside.}
"Ashe, are you alright? You sound like you're wheezing," Kat said with a look of concern on her face as she tucked a strand of hair behind his ear.
"Yeah, it's just my asthma. I think I better go inside."
"Do you want me to walk you to your room?"
"No, I'll be fine."
"Alright, if you're sure?"
"I am. Enjoy the rest of the concert," Ashe said as he placed a gentle kiss on Kat's rosy cheek.
"I will," Kat said as she watched Ashe walk towards the hotel.
Ashe rubbed Kim's back soothingly and whispered,"Ssh, ssh," until she calmed down. When she finally did, he asked,"you didn't get to tell him, huh?"
"No," Kim said, her voice wavering as she did.
"Do you want to come in and talk about it?"
"Yeah," Kim replied as Ashe wrapped an arm around her shoulders, led her inside, and closed the door.
Tommy thought as he glanced towards Ashe's door{but once again Tommy Oliver has proved himself wrong. Oh God!! It's really over. What am I saying? It was over, but I just chose to ignore it. I just had to cling to that last thread of hope. I'm such a stupid, stupid, hopeless romantic. I guess that is why I'm always getting hurt. Well, never again! I know no one will ever bring me this much pain again because I know I'll never love anyone as much as I love . . .(loved?) Kim.}Tommy took the last bit of energy that he had and crawled towards his door, opened it up, popped in a CD, and threw himself onto the bed. {Number 7 I think}Tommy thought as he skipped ahead to number seven on the Rolling Stones CD and the words,"I won't cry, I swear my eyes are dry, I'm out of tears,"came pouring through the speakers.{Sing it Mick.}Tommy opened the drawer of his nighstand and pulled out the picture of himself and Kim kissing that Rocky had taken. "I'm out of tears,"Tommy sung whispering as he slowly ripped the picture in half . . . along with his heart and the thread of hope he had hung onto. He layed back onto the bed pushing his hair out of face and whispered,"Out of tears."
