Hey, I made a few corrections with lyrics. One of which works well, with
Sailor Moon, since it deals with the moon. Anyway, this is the version I
want posted if you post it.

The Thunder Rolls

It was late in the night. 3:30 a.m. to be exact. There wasn't a soul
stirring in the city, except for one.

~3:30 in the morning, not a soul in sight
The city's lookin' like a ghost town on a moonless summer night~

A light rain began to fall, and there was a rumble in the distance. A
single car was driving on the road as the raindrops hit the windshield. 
The man in the car knew he shouldn't have been where he was. And he did
not know what to do.

~Rain drops on the windshield, there's a storm movin' in
He's heading back from somewhere, he never should have been~

There was rumble of thunder.
~And the thunder rolls...... and the thunder rolls~

Serena paced by the telephone, wearing a flannel gown. She had every
light in the house on. She was hoping and praying that it was the weather
that had kept Darien out all night.

~Every light is burning, in a house across town
She's pacing by the telephone, in her faded flannel gown
Asking for a miracle, hoping she's not right
Praying it's the weather that's kept him out all night~

Another rumble of thunder.

~And the thunder rolls....... And the thunder rolls~

There was flash of lightning, and Darien gulped as he neared his house. 
Serena, on the other hand, was waiting impatiently, unable to sleep.

~The thunder rolls, and the lightning strikes
Another love goes cold, on a sleepless night
As the storm goes on out of control
Deep in her heart, the thunder rolls~

Serena moved to the window to wait, and then Darien pulled in the
driveway. Serena rushed out of the house to hold him, thanking the Lord he
was
OK.

~Waiting by the window, as he pulls into the drive
She rushes out to hold him, thankful he's alive~

The rain and wind could not hide the new fragrance on him. She stepped
back, and her eyes seemed to flash like the lightning.

~Along the wind and rain, a strange new perfume blows
And the lightning flashes in her eyes, and he knows that she knows~

There was a rolling of thunder.

~And the thunder rolls..... And the thunder rolls.
The thunder rolls, and the lightning strikes
Another love grows cold 'n' dark, on a sleepless night
As the storm goes on out of control
Deep in her heart, the thunder rolls~

Serena ran back in the house, and down the hallway, into her bedroom. 
She opened her dresser drawer, and reached inside, looking for the pistol. 
She found it, and looked in the mirror. "He won't do it again."

~She runs back down the hallway, through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol, kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in the mirror, "he won't do this again"
'Cause tonight'll be the last time she wonders where he's been!~

Serena went back to Darien, and with tears in her eyes, pointed the gun at
him. She pulled the trigger, making Darien fall, never to rise again. 
When the shot fired, there was a loud boom of thunder, and a flash of
lightning, to hide the sound of the shot.

~The thunder rolls and the lightning strikes
Another love grows cold 'n' dark on a sleepless night
As the storm goes on, out of control
Deep in her heart...... The thunder rolls~

Well, that's it. This 'fic was written as a "What if Darien cheated?" fic,
using the song "The Thunder Rolls" as the backdrop.
