SILENT GREEN
PART ONE
by: April Michelle Richards

Cool autumn, afternoon sunlight shone over the airport as a
young man with long chestnut hair pratically skipped off the
plane.
A large gold trophy swung from his right hand. The sun glimmered
off the figure of a man doing a high kick on the top of the
trophy
as the boy jumped up as soon as he was freed from the contraints
of
the plane.
     "YAHOO!" He did a flip.
     "Tommy!" A woman scolded.
"Sorry mom." Tommy Oliver blushed. A middled aged man put
his
arm around Mrs. Oliver.
"Oh, go easy on him, Sarah. It's his right to be excited."
Terry Oliver laughed. "I mean, it's not every family that gets to
have a son who gets to go to the International Karate
Championship
next month."
"And," Sarah Oliver smiled. "We get a free trip to
Brussels."
She kissed her husband. Tommy gagged and made a face at his
parents. Terry took a swipe at Tommy, who easily danced away
from
him. Undaunted, Terry grabbed Tommy in a head lock and kissed
the
top of his son's dark head.
The Olivers grabbed their luggage and exited the airport.
Their car was waiting for them in the long term parking area.
The
family piled into the car and pulled out of Dulles International
Airport's massive parking lot and merged into traffic heading
into
the suburbs north of Washington D.C.
"I hope Rosa has something to eat ready when we get home!"
Tommy bounced in the back seat. "I'm starved!"
"Thomas Gerald Oliver!" His mother laughed. "You had
something to eat on the plane home from New York City."
"Sure, I had a bag of stale peanuts." Tommy snorted. "Really
big meal, huh?"
"Don't be saucy, Tommy." Sarah reminded her son. Tommy
ducked
his head apologetically.
"Sorry." Tommy blushed. Then, he gave another bounce.
"But,
I can't wait to tell Jean-Pierre about the tortament." He said,
referring to the young gardener of the Oliver estate. "And,
Kyoken, since he's the one who trained me." He added, thinking of
the "young" Japanese, bulter, who was added to the staff to help
Poke, the "old" butler, who had been with the Oliver family since
his daddy worked on the old Oliver Plantation just a few miles
south of the "new" Oliver mansion. Poke's children and
grandchildren carried on the tradition of working for the Oliver
family.
The two butlers were a source of amusement for Tommy.
Kyoken
was the younger of the pair at a youthful 77. Poke was well into
his nineties. But, Tommy had also learned that Poke was still
spry
for his advanced age. And, that Poke did not hesitate to tan the
hide of the "Master's" children if they were bad.
Tommy yawned as the long trip and excitement of the week
caught up with him. Just outside of Falls Church, Virgina, Tommy
fell asleep. He didn't hear the squealing of the tires or the
crunch of metal against metal as an out of control pick up truck
slammed into the Oliver car just two blocks from their home.

The paramedics lifted out the bodies of Terry and Sarah
Oliver. They were covered with blankets and laid to the side of
the road for the coronor to pick up. Then, the Jaws Of Life
were
employed to extract the still alive Tommy from the crumpled back
seat of the car. Once Tommy was out of the twisted metal, he was
life flighted to the nearest Trauma One center.

SILENT GREEN PART TWO: (by Caroline Clarke)

"This is one lucky boy." Dr. Hurst examined the young boy
for the first time, "but I think he's going to be here for
awhile."
The doctor picked up the chart.
"His name is Thomas Oliver." the middle aged nurse
answered, "His father was the owner of the Oliver plantation and
mansion. Terry and Sarah Oliver bothed died on impact."
"Has the family been informed?" asked the doctor, never
taking his eyes of the chart.
"Yes. They have no living relatives here. Only the
servants and butlers at the plantation. They told the police
that
Tommy was adopted. No one knows who is real family is. They
told
us that the nearest relatives of the Oliver's live in Angel
Grove,
California."
"Good. Have them contacted immeditally." ordered the
doctor. The nurse started out of the room, "Oh and could you
please bring the doctor who originally treated Tommy."
        "Yes doctor." She left.
The doctors frown increased as he read the lists of
injuries. _this boy is lucky even to be alive!_. He looked at
Tommy's face. It was covered in cuts and bruises. The worst cut
was just above his left eyebrow. It streched from the middle of
his eyebrow to his ear. His heartbeat wasn't strong but it was
beating. His breathing was added by the oxygen that was being
pumped into him via tubes in his nose.
"Dr. Hurst?" the short portly doctor walked into the room
"My name is Dr. Roberts. I recieved Tommy when he came in."
"Has anyone noted how bad the spinal damage is?"
"From what we can tell it is not broken. There appears
to
be some swelling around it though. At the moment what we are
most
concerned about the heavy head injury he suffered. We won't be
able to tell how bad it is until he awakes. He may have memory
loss or he may be fine. Actually is would be a lot worse if it
weren't for his trophy," the doctor pointed to the, now bent,
trophy, "This stoped some debree and also helped to stop the
car from squishing Tommy. I'm not quite sure how that was
possible
but I'd say that little thing may have saved his life."
"Thank you Dr. Roberts." both Doctors left the room.

[Three weeks later]

"Has he awakened?" asked Linda Oliver asked. She had
asked
the same question for the last three weeks."
"No. Same condition." answered John Rush, Linda's
fiancee.
The day after the accident they were called. The wedding was to
be
two days after the accident. Of course, it was postponed. Linda
had cried many tears over Tommy but he was still in a coma.
"Can't the doctors do anything?" she asked, tears running
down her face.
"No. He has to wake up himself." John said. It was the
same questions everyday. With the same answer. A week after the
accident the funeral was held for Terry and Sarah. It had been a
very sad event espically since Tommy couldn't there. They all
hoped and prayed that they wouldn't have to have another.

[Three days later]

Nurse Johnson walked around to Tommy's side. She felt
for
the pulse in his arm. No change. She then felt his forehead for
a
fever. He had been lucky. There was no fever. Kathy Johnson
always felt extremly sad when she treated Tommy. She had a son
of
about the same age. She didn't know what she would do if this
happened to her son.
She took Tommy's hand and brushed his hair away from his
face.
        "Grmmm." Tommy muttered.
"Oh my god. Doctor Hurst!" She ran out of the room to
fetch the doctor.

SILENT GREEN PART THREE (by: April Richards)

Doctor Hurst burst into the room, alerted by Nurse Johnson's
cry. He skidded to a stop by Tommy's bed. He quickly took the
boy's pulse. It was stronger. The monitors surrounding him were
going crazy. Tommy's head moved from side to side as he
mumbled.
Dr. Hurst took Tommy's hand and lightly touched the boy's face.
"Tommy," He spoke in a loud clear voice. "Tommy, can you
hear
me? Tommy, squeeze my hand if you can hear me." He told the
boy.
There was a tense silence in the room as the doctor waited. Then,
slowly but surely, Tommy squeezed the doctor's hand......

......Tommy could hear a voice calling to him from the
surface
of the black sea that enveloped him. For what had seemed like
forever, the soft bottom of that silent sea had cradled him,
comforting him with its impenetrable darkness. Lately, however,
*something* was pulling him to the surface. He could see the
harsh
lights of the sun shining in the white sky. Tommy tried to pull
away from the surface, wanting to escape back to his sandy
cradle,
but the force was too strong. Before the boy could slip away,
back
into the black depths, his head broke the surface. A face loomed
over him......

"Tommy." The face said. "Tommy , look at me." Tommy turned
his head and struggled to focus on the person standing beside
him.
Tommy's brown eyes blurred, then cleared. The doctor shone a
light
into the boy's eyes. Tommy winced and tried to jerk his head
away. He couldn't do it. It was then that he realized that he
was
laying on his back in a white, sterile room. The harsh "sun" was
the overhead light. A multitude of machines surrounded him. He
looked down at his arms and gasped at the sight of all the
needles
invading his thin arms.
*What happened?* Tommy asked himself, confused. *Where is
my
black sea? Did these people find me on the surface after the
voice
pulled me there?*
Doctor Hurst stroked Tommy's hair, noticing the boy's
confusion. "It's OK, Tommy." He said. Then, the doctor turned
to
the nurse. "Get his aunt here immediately."
"Yes, doctor." Kathy Johnson nodded her head and left.
*Who's Tommy?* The boy asked himself. *Is that me?* Panic
surged in his heart as he realized that he did not know his own
name. *Who am I?* He sobbed mentally.
Hurst noticed a sudden tension in Tommy. "Son, what's
wrong?"
*Is he my dad?* Tommy wondered. He opened his mouth to
speak,
but was dismayed when only a faint croaking came out. *I can't
talk! What's wrong with me? What happened? Why don't I remember
anything? What's going on? Someone, please, help me to
remember!*

[Balston Days Inn Hotel, Room 221]

Linda Oliver, now Linda Rush cried quietly as she sat on her
bed. She had left the hospital so that she and John could be
married quietly by a local Justice of the Peace. Her husband
was
taking a shower so that they could go out for a nice dinner, the
only celebration that they felt like having. They had a beeper
s
so that the hospital could get in touch with them in case Tommy's
condition changed. Suddenly, the beeper went off. Linda quickly
dialed a number.
"Hello, Arlington General Hospital." A voice answered on the
other line.
"I need to talk with Doctor Hurst, please. My name is Linda
Oliver, I mean, Linda Rush. I just got married today."
"Congradulations, Mrs. Rush. Please hold while I page Doctor
Hurst."
Suddenly a new voice was heard on the line. "Mrs. Rush?
It's
me, Doctor Hurst. Please, come over the hospital as soon as you
can. It's important." He said, then hung up.
"JOHN!" Linda rushed into the small bathroom. Her husband
turned off the water and looked at her. He saw the panic in her
eyes and quickly dried off. He didn't say anything as he pulled
on
some clean clothes and herded his new wife out the door.

SILENT GREEN PART FOUR (by Caroline Clarke)

John and Linda raced to the hospital ignoring everything.

The car screeched around around cornors. _If we get killed in an
accident that'll be ironic!_ They both were panicing. The
doctors
hadn't told them if it was a good thing or a bad thing. They
thought that they were prepared for the worst, but as they were
arriving they knew that had only been kidding themselves.
"John," Linda broke the silence as they sped to the
hospital, "What if we lose him. We can't lose him!" she started
to
cry harder.
"We won't lose him, honey. Everything will be okay."
"How can we be sure." she looked down.
[Arlington General Hospital]

*What's happening?* Tommy asked himself. There was
comotion all around him. Lots of people wearing blue, green and
white. Tommy had never seen this place before. Tommy turned his
eyes. On a table there were some white flowers and a bent
trophy.
*A trophy? Is that mine? If it is...what did I get it in?* He
turned his head back to the middle. He felt a wave of blackness
overpowering him so he closed his eyes.

"Doctor." Nurse Johnson tapped him on the shoulder. "He
has
lost conciousness again."
"Damn. I thought we had him."

[The front desk]

        "Hello?"
"Ah the Rushes. I hope the wedding went well."
"As well as can be expected under the circumstances."
answered Linda and she looked at her new husband.
"How is his condition?" asked John. His frown was very
deep.
"Well, he awoke. He squeezed Dr. Hurst's hand." there
was
an obvious sign of joy from the Rush's. "but..."
"There's a but." Mrs. Rush wiped her tears away.
"Yes. I will call Nurse Johnson and she will take you to
Tommy."

[Tommy's room]

"...then he just went back. It seemed he was trying
really
hard to stay but he couldn't. He turned his eyes and then, well,
he was back."
"Di-i-id he say anything?" John stuttered.
"No. It may be because he was confused. Maybe there's
some complications. It won't be known until he wakes up."
"Thank you doctor. You have been most helpful." smiled
John.
"You will call us at the slightess change in his
condition?"
"Of course. Now you two newly weds should have some time
alone. I promise the first sign and the beeps gonna go off."
        "Thanks doctor."
Linda walked up to the still Tommy. _He's so young, so
talented. How could this happen!_ Linda asked whoever was
listening. She brushed his wet hair out of his face. Linda
looked
at the cut above his eyebrow. She kissed him just beside it.
Tommy didn't move. John came over and took Tommy's hand.
"Now Tommy. You gotta get better." cried Linda.
"Come on. Think of all the girls that are still out
there." John's humor wasn't too welcome in this situation.
The couple walked sadly out of the room. They got in
there
car and drove home slowly.

[Tommy's room]

The darkness swirled around the boy. He saw a little
light, just a little speck that could be five feet or five
hundred
feet away, it wouldn't make a difference. Suddenly a screaching
sound echoed through his ears. *Noooooo* The boy couldn't
remember the sound or where it came from but it brought him a
great pain...

...Doctor Hurst looked at the heart monitor. It suddenly
started to go erratic. "Guys. I think we have trouble."

***********

SILENT GREEN PART FIVE (by: April Richards)

"Get the Rushes back here." Hurst hissed to the nurse.
The
nurse nodded her head and left. Hurst peeled back Tommy's
eyelid.
The large, chocolate colored eye was rolled back, the white
showing. Tommy's body was stiff. Suddenly, he started thrashing
about the confines of the bed. Two large orderlies, who had
originally been there to change Tommy's bed linen, held Tommy
down
while the doctor examined him. "He's having a seizure!" He
yelled to Nurse Johnson. Suddenly, Tommy stopped breathing.
Kathy Johnson hit a button on the wall. "CODE BLUE!" She
yelled into the intercom. "Room 342! Code Blue!"
Seconds later, a team rushed into the room, equipment ready.
One put a tube down Tommy's throat, connecting him to a
respirator.
The machine pumped an oxygen rich mixture into Tommy's lungs.
The
awful blue color faded from his lips as his body got the oxygen
it
craved.
A second doctor on the special team inserted a large needle
in
between the boy's prominate ribs, injecting his heart with large
amounts of adrenaline. The heart beat slowly stabilized.
The medical team let out a sigh of relief as Tommy relaxed.
Two new IVs were attached to his arms. One was full of a
glucose/electrolyte solution to prevent the boy from going into
shock and a small bag of nitro glycerine to keep him from having
a
heart attack if he had another seizure.
"I want a CAT scan run on him as soon as he's stabilized."
Hurst ordered. "He can't survive another seizure like that. We
have to find out what caused it." He growled. Hurst injected
Tommy
with a heavy tranquilizer/muscle relaxer.

........The black sea had claimed Tommy again. Here he was safe
from the harsh world on the surface. He settled back into his
cradle of smooth sand. From some where far away he could feel
new
needles being poked into him. He ignored it. It was a mild
irritence at best. However, this time, his rest wasn't as
peaceful. Images rushed past his eyes, too fast to be seen or
comprended.
*Are these from my life?* Tommy asked himself. Suddenly,
Tommy heard a voice speaking. It was deep and rumbling. He
looked
and saw a large, floating head.
*TOMMY,* The head said in greeting. *DO NOT BE AFRAID. I
AM
A FRIEND. YOU MUST NOT STAY HERE MUCH LONGER. THERE ARE PEOPLE
WHO NEED YOU. WHO MISS YOU. GO BACK NOW.* The voice ordered.
*Who are you?* Tommy asked as he floated to the surface
again.
*I AM CALLED ZORDON. YOU WILL MEET ME AGAIN, AT A LATER
TIME, THOMAS GERALD OLIVER*

The Rushes had stopped at a McDonald's for a quick meal.
Neither had much of an appetite. Suddenly, the beeper went off
again. The newly weds grabbed their meals and ran out of the
resturante. Linda quietly prayed while her husband drove back to
the hospital.
"Please God..." She sobbed. "Please, don't take my Tommy
away
from me."

.......The black sea parted again, sending Tommy into the harsh
sunlight. The same man in white was standing over him.
"Tommy, you have to stay awake." Hurst said in an urgent
voice. "Son, look at me!" He ordered when Tommy's eyes started
to
flutter shut again. Tommy's eyes flew open.
There was even more activity swirling around him this time
the
sea parted its comforting, dark waters. He could feel the black
sea
fall farther and farther away from him. Deep in his mind, he
could
still hear Zordon's voice ordering him to go back to the surface.
*Help me* "Mmurrff" Tommy croaked out. Hurst leaned over
Tommy.
     "Tommy?"
*Help me.* "Arrhh" Tommy repeated in a weak voice. That
small
effort exhausted him. *Please, help me.*

SILENT GREEN PART SIX (by Caroline Clarke)

"I think he's trying to talk." Nurse Johnson stated, "Can
we take those tubes out?"
"I don't think that would be a good idea." answered the
Doctor.
Tommy's eyes started at the doctor with a piercing glaze.

*Are you my father? If so who am I? What am I doing here. Why
do
I hurt so much?* "Grrgff."
"How are you feeling Tommy?" *I guess I must be Tommy?*
"My name is Dr. Hurst. This is Nurse Johnson." They both smiled
at
him. "You, ah, had a little accident."

[the Rush's car]

"Here we go. Be strong Linda." comforted John.
"We can't lose him. We just can't" she sobbed.
"We won't." he said confidnetally, even though he didn't
really believe his words.
They walked quickly to the front desk and were told that
they could go see Tommy. They felt relief to know he was alive.
The doctors were all surronding Tommy so the couple couldn't see
him.
        "Dr. Hurst?" Linda sobbed.
"Ahh, yes. The Rush's." he directed them close to Tommy,
"This is one strong willed boy. We almost lost him," Linda
sobbed
and put her hands to her mouth, "But it seems he brought himself
back. We gave him a lot to help but I think he did more." They
all
looked at Tommy and smiled through their tears.
*Zordon. Who is Zordon. I don't remember a Zordon, then
again I have no idea who any of these people are.*
"Tommy how are you feeling?" Linda rushed to hold the
boys
hand.
"Lsdfcta" *Like crap. Who are you?* he asked no one.
"Mrs. Rush, we have to do a CAT scan on the boy. See if
we
can find anything. He can't survive another seizure like the
one
he had."
The Rushes nodded and the doctors led Tommy out of the
room. Nurse Johnson came up to see them.
"We're doing the best we can. Why don't you go have a
good
sleep. We'll call you at the first sign of anything."
"Sure," Linda said, _What choice do we have?_ "You have
been most helpful." she gave the nurse a week smile.
"Did you guys know Tommy very well?" asked the nurse.
"We visited them five or six times a year. Tommy sure
loved to ride around on John's seadoo." she smiled through her
tears.

[The Rush's Hotel Room]

Linda sat in the bed in her clothes, just in case she had
to rush off. They had the news on. That only made Linda cry
more.
_All the accidents that no one really cares about. People just
see
it on the news and then it's forgotten_. She sobbed.
John came into bed and put his arm around his wife. "It
will be all right." she sobbed into his shoulder for a long time
then feel asleep.

[Tommy's Room]

"The results Doctor." a regular looking man handed them
to
him. Dr. Hurst grunted a thanks.
He read over them and frowned. He then looked over the
X-Rays. _Left leg broken. Right arm fractured. Three broken
ribs.
This boy is very lucky._ He read over the results again.
The doctor came over to Tommy and took his hand. The boy
was still awake and had been watching the doctor. He was still
hooked up to all the machines.
"Tommy if the answer to my questions are yes, squeeze my
hand once. Do that now." Tommy lightly squeezed his hand. "If
the
answer is no squeezed it twice. Do you understand?" Tommy
squeezed
his hand once and his face appeared to smile. "Good." he looked
down at the chart.
"Tommy, do you know what happened to you?" two squeezes.
"Tommy, do you remember that you had visitors today?" one
squeeze. The docotr smiled and then frowned. The next question
would mean a lot.
"Tommy, those visitors you had today. Do you know them?"
        Two squeezes.

SILENT GREEN PART SEVEN (by: April Richards)

Two squeezes. The doctor hid his worried expression. *He
doesn't even know his aunt and uncle.* The doctor thought.
Just then, the orderly came in with the results from the CAT
scan. The special Xray showed several different images of
Tommy's
brain. The doctor relaxed as he saw no serious damage to the
delicate organ. Tommy stared at the doctor.
*What is that?* Tommy asked himself. Just then, his stomach
rumbled. *When was the last time I ate?* "Unngii!" Tommy tried
again to speak. The doctor looked down at the boy.
"Is something wrong?" He asked. He held Tommy's hand so
that
the boy could squeeze it. One squeeze. "Do you hurt?" Two
squeezes. The doctor smiled. "Do you want something?" One
squeeze.
The doctor leaned close to the boy. He laughed when he heard
Tommy's stomach rumble again. Tommy blushed. "Hungry, eh?" One
very hard squeeze. The doctor rubbed his chin. "I'm sorry,
Tommy.
You can't eat with the tube in your mouth." Tommy shot the man a
dirty look. "And, no, I can't take it out. It might be
uncomfortable, but you need it." Tommy seemed to sigh in
disappointment. The doctor ruffled Tommy's hair and left the
room.
After speaking briefly with the nurse, he entered his office
and made some notes in a large folder. *No major brain damage.
Apperant Post Traumatic Stress Amnesia.* He wrote. *Has no
memory
of accident or of family. Is able to answer yes or no questions
with hand squeeze signals.*
*I wonder how the Rush'll handle this. They've been through
soo much already.* Hurst sighed, leaning back in his chair.
*Hopefully Tommy's memory will come back as he heals up.* Then,
he
made another note in the file. *Set up appointment with hospital
psychiatrist for mental evaluation.*
Hurst closed the file, then left for a short dinner break.

[Same Time, Angel Grove California]

Jason Scott sighed as he stared at the three week old paper.

The headlines boldly announced the accident that had robbed the
USA
of the chance to win the International Karate Finals. When Tommy
was in the accident that almost killed him, his slot was offered
to
Jason Scott. Jason, who had come in a close second, turned down
the
offer, feeling that it was too goulish to take advantage of
Tommy's
misfortune and, he wanted to go to the finals on his own merit.
That ment winning the Nationals. The person who did go came in a
dismal third place, far behind Tommy and Jason.
"Hey, Jase!" Zach bounced up from behind his friend.
"Wuzzup?"
"The International Finals are starting today." Jason
sighed.
"Still feeling sorry for that Oliver dude?" Zach sat next to
his friend. Kimberly, Trini and Billy also joined the group.
"Yeah, a little. Ernie said that he's starting to come out
of
that coma, so that's good." Ernie was a good friend of the
Rushes
and gave the teens up dates on the boy they had only met from a
distance.
"Well, at least he'll be coming here after he recovers."
Kimberly bounced. "I'm sure you'll get to train with him, Jason."
"Yeah, I'd like to train with him. He's good. Better than
me."
Jason admitted. "Or at least he was. I'm not so sure how good
he'll
be after that accident. The papers said that he was pretty
mangled
up."
"There have been great advances in medical science." Billy
pushed up his glasses. "I'm sure that the doctors at Arlington
General Hospital can do wonders."
"What makes you so sure?" Trini asked.
"Simple. Fort Belvour is near by. They have made lots of
inventions for the army. I'm sure they'd share the medical
technology with the local hopsitals." Billy answered.
"What ever." Kim sighed. "From that picture Ernie showed,
Tommy is rilly cute...." She trailed off.
"Uh-oh, Tommy's better look out! Kim's gonna sink her
little
claws into him!" Zach laughed.
Kim slapped Zach's arm. "Jealous!" She sniffed. The Rangers
laughed at her.

[The Rush's Hotel Room, Same Time]

Linda poked at her cold dinner from MacDonald's. She
sighed,
then leaned her head against her husband's broad shoulder.
     "Tired, honey?" John asked.
"No. I can't sleep." She straightened up. "Maybe we should
go
and see Tommy. Maybe he could use the company."
"Visiting Hours are over, Linda." John pointed out.
"I know, but he's in ICU. You can visit anytime. Please,
I'm
sure this is so frightening for him." Linda pleaded with her
husband.
"Ok. Let me get my jacket. Oh, and we should stop and get
Poke and Kyoken. They called and asked if they could visit Master
Tommy." John relented.
"So, do you agree with the idea of having them move to Angel
Grove with us? Our house is large and we'll need the help since
Tommy will require a lot of personal care. Besides, Poke loves
Tommy like he's the boy's grandfather." Linda laughed.
"Yeah. Besides, it'll help Tommy having familar faces
around
him while he recovers." John said as they left the hotel room.

SILENT GREEN PART EIGHT (by Caroline Clarke)

[Tommy's room]

The doctors had Tommy fixed up with a sugar and water IV.
His hunger started to go away but he still wanted a hamburger. *I
wonder who I am.* he turned his eyes again and looked at the
flowers and the bent trophy. *It looks like someone cares about
me. I have flowers. Maybe it was those people who were here
before. I wonder why they want to see me. Maybe they are my
parents, but then who's Zordon?* he closed his eyes to think.
All
he could remember was this bald floating head. *Pretty freaky.*
He
opened his eyes to see the doctor looming over him. Tommy's eyes
showed his surprise.
"Sorry to scare you." Dr. Hurst held his hand again.
"Okay
Tommy. These questions are important. Do you understand?" one
squeeze.
"Did you remember your name before I told you?" two
squeezes.
"Do you know who's trophy this is?" the doctor held the
trophy infront of Tommy. Two squeezes.
"Do you hurt?" one light sqeeze.
"What hurts? Your legs?" two squeezes.
        "Your arms?" two squeezes.
        "Your head?" one squeeze.
"Is it a headache." one BIG squeeze.
"Okay. I'll be back with something to help you." The
doctor put the trophy on Tommy's chest and left the room. Tommy
examined the trophy. It looked like it would be nice but it was
now bent. He looked at the plaque. The name on it was Tommy
Oliver. *I won this!* his eyes widened with surprise.

[The Rush's car same time.]

"Here's the mansion. Oh it feels so weird to be here
without Sarah and Terry." Linda said sadly.
"I'll go inside and get Poke and Kyoken." John left the
car
and within a few minutes returned with the two old men.
They drove in silence all the way to the hospital. When
they arrived at the hospital they were told that Tommy was
sleeping
and would have to wait. As they sat in the waiting room Dr.
Hurst
came to them.
        "Hello, again." Dr. Hurst said.
"Oh hello doctor. I would like you to meet Poke and
Kyoken. Kyoken is Tommy's martial arts teacher." Kyoken did a
little bow, "and this is Poke."
"Nice to meet you, of course, I would prefer it under
different circumstances. I have something serious to talk about.

Please, sit." Linda's face suddenly went white.
        "What is it Doctor."
"It appears there is a problem. It may not be serious
though."
        "Please, just tell us."
"Well, it appears he has Post Traumatic Amnesia. In
other
words, he doesn't remember what happened, who you two are and
even
his own name and past."
Linda sobbed and fell into her husbands arms. "Noo..."
she
whimpered.
"Doctor, is it permanent?" John asked.
"I can't be sure but my guess will be it will go away as
he
improves. It could be today or in the far future. We can't be
sure."
"Can we see him?" ask John.
"In a little while. He is sleeping and we want him to
get
all the rest he can get. When he awakens we will call you. Oh,
and, when you see him...don't be to upset if he can't remember
things. Just tell him about the past and smile."
"Thank you Doctor." Linda whispered and he left

[Tommy's room]

tommy was sitting on an airplane. he had a big smiled
plastered on his face and a bag of stale peanuts. they were
playing his favourite movie on the screen and he was beside his
favourite people. he looked over to them but there faces were
covered with black ink. he couldn't recognize them but he knew
they were special.
*TOMMY. THEY ARE YOUR PARENTS. YOU LOVED THEM VERY MUCH.*
     *My p-p-parents. How come I don't remember?*
*YOU ARE GOING THROUGH SOMETHING VERY HARD TOMMY. JUST
PICTURE GETTING BETTER AND YOU WILL.*
*But how do you know all this. Am I supposed to know you?*
*YOU WILL LATER TOMMY. WE WILL KNOW EACH OTHER WELL.*
*I don't understand any of this. Zordon! Where are you?
I'm
so confused!*

Tommy awoke. He was covered in sweat. *What the heck?*
"Meeloww?* Tommy whimpered. Nurse Johnson turned around and
smiled
at Tommy.
"Good Morning, er, afternoon Tommy." she came to him and
moved
his damp hair out of his eyes. "Did you have a bad dream?"
        "Gaa."
"It's okay Tommy. Everything is okay now. You're safe."
she held his hands, "You have guests who are looking forward to
seeing you!"

SILENT GREEN PART NINE (by: April Richards)

"Mr and Mrs. Rush?" Nurse Johnson asked when she entered
the
waiting room. Linda and John stood up.
     "Yes?" John answered.
"Tommy is awake. You can see him now." Nurse Johnson lead
the
way to Tommy's small room in ICU. Tommy was pale, still shaken
by
the dream he had.
*Who the hell is this Zordon dude? Why does he have to be so
damned mysterious?* He mused.
"Hello, Tommy!" Linda chripped and kissed Tommy's sweaty
forehead. "I'm Linda Rush. This is my husband, John." She said
in as a cheerful voice as she could muster. There was no
regconition in his eyes.
"Why, hello, there, Massa Tommy." Old Poke gingerly sat
himself down on Tommy's bed. "Do you remember ole Poke?" A faint
light shone in Tommy's eyes as he squeezed Poke's hand. One
squeeze. Hesitant and barely able to be felt, but it was one
squeeze. The old bulter smiled. He and Kyoken had been told of
the
doctor's simple signals that allowed Tommy to communicate with
people. Then, Tommy's eyes locked with Kyoken. The Japanese man
nearly burst into tears when Tommy gurgled out: "Kyoken."
Linda sat next to Tommy and took his other hand. "Tommy,
do
you need anything?" Two squeezes. "Do you want to watch
television?" One squeeze. "OK, honey. I'll go and get it arranged
for you." Linda stood up. John saw the worried look in his
wife's
eyes and followed her out of the room.
"How are you holding up?" John asked.
"I don't think I can deal with this! He doesn't even know
us!" Linda wailed. "How are we going to tell him about his
parents if he doesn't even remember them?"
John wrapped his arms around his new wife. "We'll deal with
it. We have to. Tommy needs us to be strong." Then, an idea
flashed in John's mind. "Once he gets to Angel Grove, I'm sure
he'll make friends. That'll help him get better. Hmm.. Maybe we
should call Ernie and see if he can get those teens he's so fond
of. Um, Jason Scott and his friends to come here for a visit. I
think it would help Tommy to have some campanions his own age."
"I'll call him tonight. Oh, hello Doctor Hurst." Linda
nodded
her head when the doctor approached.
"Mrs. Rush." He smiled. "I have some good news." He added.
     "What?"
"I've talked with Angel Grove General Hospital in California
and Tommy can be transferred there in fourty eight hours."
"Why the wait?" Linda asked through her tears.
"Well, we want to make sure that Tommy is stable and doesn't
have any more seizures." Hurst explained. "Which, thank God, he
hasn't. I think that he experienced a painful flash of memory he
wasn't ready to deal with yet."
Linda sobbed at the pain her nephew was experiencing. "Will
he
be able to talk once the tube are out?" Hurst lowered his eyes.
"I'm not sure about that. He has suffered damage to his
voice
box. It might take a while before his voice comes back totally."
"What about his back?" Linda asked, remembering something
the
doctor had mentioned.
"We will be doing some tests this afternoon. Hopefully any
paralaysis will be temporary." Hurst answered.
"What paralaysis?" Linda asked in a strained voice.
"Tommy has no feelings in his legs. He can't move them
either. There is some swelling around his spinal cord. We think
that it's just temporary. Tommy is very lucky, though, that he's
being transfered to Angel Grove General. They have the best
spinal
care system in the nation."
Linda clung to her husband as they watched the doctor leave.
*What next?* Linda sobbed in her mind. *I can't take any
more
bad news. And, what about poor Tommy?*

SILENT GREEN PART 10 (by Caroline Clarke)

[Tommy's room later]

Tommy sat alone in his room. The ones that he had
remembered left. *I wonder why I can remember them and not the
others.* He watched the news. A nother monster attack in Angel
Grove that was thwarted by the great Power Rangers. *I think I
remember Power Rangers. They are so cool.*
*THEY ARE, AS YOU SAY, COOL* whispered a voice.
*Great* Tommy thought, *Now I'm having a conversation with
myself.*
*TOMMY. THIS IS ZORDON. I KNOW THE POWER RANGERS.*
Tommy smiled to himself, *Cool, now I'm delirious! Good
for you, Zordon. I hope they are very happy.*
*DO NOT BE SARCASTIC TOMMY. I JUST WANT YOU TO GET
BETTER.*
*Thanks for the idea Zordon...now do you think that you
can
leave my mind?*
*I WILL BE SEEING YOU LATER.*
*Righto, Zordy!* Tommy was getting tired of the voice in
his head. He didn't know if he always had the ability to think
like
that or if he was just crazy.
Tommy lightly pressed a button to change the channel and
he
began his surfing. *I wonder what my favourite show is?* he
thought. *I wish I could remember. I wish I could remember
something!* Tears started in his eyes. *What happened to me?
Why
do I remember somethings and not others.*
Dr. Hurst walked into the room to find Tommy crying
lightly
to himself. *Poor guy.* "Hey, Tommy." Dr. Hurst held Tommy's
hand. Tommy seemed embarasssed to be seen crying. "Have you
started to remember anything more?" Two squeezes. "I heard that
you recognized Kyoken and Poke, very good. They lived in your
house."
Tommy looked confused. *Why can't I remember anythin'?*
"Listen, my boy. In two days you are going to be
trasnfered to the Angel Grove Hospital. They are very good
there."
he smiled, "You'll be fine." Tommy didn't really care where he
went
considering he didn't know where he was now!
"Are you okay? Do you need anything?" two squeezes.
"Soon
we'll be able to take those tubes out of you and you can talk to
us." he grinned. "I've got to be going but I'll get someone to
check on you soon."

[Angel Grove]

"Hey Jason! Would you come over here for a second?"
Ernie
waved to Jason. Jason excused himself from the others and walked
to Ernie.
        "What's up, Ernie."
"Oh, Jason. Would you do me a huge favour!"
"If I can I will." Jason smiled.
"You know that Oliver kid?" Jason nodded, "Well, in a
couple of days he will be transfered to here. I was wondering if
you and the others could, you know, visit him. It might be good
for him to be around people of his own age."
Jason thought for a second. "I would be glad to. I
really want to meet him, he's so good in the Martial Arts. I
know
Kimberly wants to meet him too."
"Great! I knew I could count on you guys! Free drinks!
On
me!"
Jason went back to the table with the five drinks.
"What did Ernie want." asked Trini.
"Tommy Oliver is coming to Angel Grove to recover. I
told
Ernie that we would visit him. You know, make him feel welcome
and
stuff."
"I, personally, would love to." smiled Kim.
"You would!" Zack joked, "Ya, Jase. That'll be cool."
        "Right" smiled Trini.
        "Affermative!" Billy cheered.
        "Great!" Jason grinned.

SILENT GREEN PART ELEVEN (by: April Richards)

[Arlington General, Two Days Later]

Tommy looked around as his aunt packed his meager
belongings.
*What's going on?* He asked himself. His aunt saw his confusion.
"You're going to Angel Grove, California, sweetie." She
said.
"That's were I live. As soon as you get out of the hospital,
you'll be living with us."
*What about my parents?* Tommy thought.
WHAT IS TROUBLING YOU, TOMMY? Zordon asked suddenly. Tommy
winced at the pain of the booming voice echoing in his head.
*I'm going to Angel Grove. I'll still be in the hospital
there.*
THIS IS MOST FORTANATE. THE POWER RANGERS LIVE THERE. I AM
THEIR MENTOR.
     *Coolsville.* Tommy mentally sighed. *Uh-oh.*
     WHAT IS WRONG?
*Gestapo Nurse with large needle heading my way!* Tommy
gulped. *Ah no!* He screamed mentally as he was rolled over and
his skimpy gown was jerked up, exposing a tight rear end. He
shivered as some alcohol was rubbed on his exposed flesh then
yelped mentally as the needle slid in. What ever was in the
needle
burned as it rushed through his viens. *Man, what did she just
give me?*
SOME KIND OF SEDITIVE, I WOULD GUESS. SO THAT YOU CAN RELAX
WHILE FLYING ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
     *Zordon?*
     YES, TOMMY?
*When can I meet you in person?*
AS SOON AS YOU ARE WELL ENOUGH TO LEAVE THE HOSPITAL. WHY?
*Am I the only one you talk to like this?*
YES. YOU ARE THE ONLY FULL TELEPATH IN THIS DEMENSION. I
WILL HELP YOU DEVELOPE YOUR SKILL AFTER YOUR BODY HEALS.
*OK. -yawn- Sorry 'bout that. I think that nurse slipped me
a
Mickey....* Tommy's mental voice trailed off as he fell asleep.
SLEEP WELL, TOMMY. Zordon whispered. Once the
interdemensional being broke contact he smiled down at his
assitant
Alpha-5.
"Ai yi yi yi yi!" Alpha moaned as waited for the news Zordon
had to offer.
ALPHA, WE MUST MONITOR THE PLANE THAT TOMMY WILL BE ON. I
FEAR
THAT RITA MIGHT TRY TO DO HARM TO TOMMY.
     "OK, Zordon."

[On Rita's MoonBase]

"Ah! So, Tommy Oliver is a full telepath, eh? Well, his
Powers will serve me well as an evil warrior!" Rita exclaimed.
"My Queen," Finster interrupted. "Tommy has been too badly
injured to be an evil warrior. But, since Zordon seems so fond
of
Tommy, maybe we can use that to our advantage."
     "Of course. GOLDAR!" Rita sceamed.
     "Yes, my queen?" Goldar bowed.
"Take Scorpina and capture that medical transport plane!"
"At once, my Queen." Goldar and Scorpine teleported out. As
soon as they were on Earth, they grew to monster sizes and
grabbed
the medical plane that had the unconscious Tommy on board.

[Angel Grove General Hospital]

Linda paced back and forth as they waited for the arrival of
Tommy's plane. She checked her watch, then sighed.
     "They're late." She said, worriedly.
"They probably had to delay take off for some silly reason."
John tried to comfort his wife.
"John's right." Ernie spoke up. "I'm sure Tommy's fine."
He
sat with the Rangers, unMorphed.
Just then, the dishevled pilot rushed into the waiting room.
"Gone!" He sobbed.
"What's wrong?" Jason helped the man to a seat.
"Monsters took the plane. They teleported me and the co
pilot
here. I don't know where they took everyone else." He gasped
out.
Linda turned a pale shade of gray and passed out.

SILENT GREEN PART 12 (by Caroline Clarke)

The Rangers looked at each other and Jason cocked his
head
to direct them away.
"Ahh, Mr. Rush. We're going to find out what happened.
We'll be back in a minute."
        "Right."
The teens walked out of the room, made sure they were
clear
and teleported to the Command Center

[The Command Center]

"Zordon!" Jason yelled, "A monster took the Oliver boy."
Zordon looked very shocked, "I JUST KNEW IT." Zordon
shocked his head. "RANGERS, THIS IS WHAT I FEARED MOST. TOMMY
IS
A VERY SPECIAL BOY AND RITA KNOWS IT. SHE MUST HABE KIDNAPPED
HIM
TO USE AGAINST US."
"What can we do?" Kimberly's voice wavered.
"We have to do something." Zack interuptted.
"Yes, he's still injured." Billy told.
"Who knows if he can survive without the doctor!" Trini
sobbed.
"Ai yi yi, Rangers!" Alpha screeched, "You are all right.

We have got to save him!"
"But how?" Jason asked his leader, "We have never had to
do
this before."
"I SUGGEST FOR THE TIME BEING YOU HELP THE RUSH'S. I
WILL
TRY TO CONTACT TOMMY."
        "But how?" sobbed Kimberly.
"DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT KNOW, KIMBERLY. I KNOW HOW."
"Right Zordon," Jason turned, "Let's go."
They all teleported out in a streak of pink, red, blue,
yellow and black.

[Rita's Palace]

*Where am I? Is this 'Angel Grove?'* Tommy looked
around.
It was dark and it was cold. He was still attached to all his
tubes but there were no doctors. *Am I dead?*
...tommy tommy do you hear me? asked a little voice
inside
Tommy's head.
*Wha? What was that? I thought I heard something.*
Tommy
thought. *Zordon!*
        ToMmY dO yOu ReAd Me??
*Zordon? Is that you?* Tommy made the connection with
Zordon.
TOMMY YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT THIS
*Huh?* Zordon realized that Tommy must have forgotten
what
he told him before he was sedatide.
ARE YOU ALRIGHT? ARE YOU HURT?
*I think I've felt better. Where am I?*
        YOU ARE ON THE MOON.
*Then how the heck am I breathing, bigshot?*
YOU ARE BEING PUMPED WITH OXYGEN. RITA REPULSA, SWORN
ENEMY OF THE POWER RANGERS KIDNAPPED YOU.
*But why me? I ain't no Power Ranger!*
THAT IS TRUE BUT YOU ARE SPECIAL. YOU ARE THE ONLY
TELEPATH IN THIS DIMENSION*
        *Sure. Ya right. How come I don't remember...I can't
remember anything anyway! Man!*
CALM DOWN TOMMY. YOU DID NOT KNOW THAT YOU HAD THIS
SKILL
BEFORE YOU HAD YOUR ACCIDENT
        *Accident...how come I don't remember?*
AMNESIA TOMMY. I WILL NOT TELL YOU OF THAT UNTIL YOU
ARE
BETTER.
*You really confuse me. Can you get me out of here?*
WE ARE WORKING ON THAT. THE POWER RANGERS ARE AWARE OF
THE
SITUATION.
*We'll please hurry. I'm cold, hungry and gotta piss.*
OF COURSE, TOMMY. WE WILL HURRY. THINK MY NAME WHEN YOU

WANT TO TALK.
        *Righto, Zordy*
The voice disappeared out of Tommy's mind. *This is so
weird. I am so confused.* he closed his eyes and cried. Then he
feel asleep.

SILENT GREEN PART THIRTEEN (by: April Richards)

Goldar hovered over the sleeping boy. *Telepath, eh?* The
gold monkey smirked. Some time ago, in another demension,
Empress
Rita had captured a full telepath and Goldar had used the slim
boy
for his own pleasures after the telepath refused to work for
Rita.
Evil spells were ineffective on telepaths, so Rita had use for
the
boy. Goldar had no idea what Rita had planned for this boy.
Grumbling softly, Goldar stroked the boy's thin face with
his
long clawed hand. Tommy's eyes flew open with a start.
*Shit!* Tommy swore to himself. *Who or what are you?* He
jerked away when Goldar started to touch him. The gold monkey
roared when he saw the rejection in Tommy's eyes.
"Bastard!" Goldar snarled and back handed Tommy out of the
bed. The tubes and IV were ripped out of his body. Tommy slammed
into the wall and was knocked senseless. Something cold and
metalic pressed against his cheek. Tommy glared at Goldar and
thought:
*I wish his balls would burn off.*
Just as Goldar was about to advance on the helpless boy, the
stench of burning flesh filled the room. The monkey's gold loin
cover turned red as smoked curled out from under it.
"AWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!" Goldar wailed and fled from
the room.
Tommy relaxed slightly. It was then that he became aware
of
the cold thing pressing into his face. He lifted up his head and
gasped. It was a thick, gold coin with a footprint engraved on
it.
*What the...?* He asked himself. *Zordon?* He consintraited
on his strange friend. He didn't notice when Doctor Hurst slipped
into the room. *Zordon, I think I've done a bad thing.*

[The Command Center]

The Rangers were pacing back and forth, waiting for news of
Tommy Oliver, when Zordon stiffened and closed his eyes.
"What's wrong with Zordon?" Trini asked Alpha.
"Tommy just tried to make contact with him." The little
robot
explained.

     WHAT IS WRONG, TOMMY?
*Well, a large, gold monkey in armor tried to get friendly
with me and then he slapped me out of the bed. I didn't mean to,
but I wished that his balls would burn off. Then, his groin
caught
fire. He ran out of where ever I am.* Tommy explained in a rush.
YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. GOLDAR WOULD HAVE KILLED YOU IF
YOU
HADN'T. Zordon consoled him.
*Do your Rangers have a way to get me out of here yet?*
WE ARE WORKING ON AN IDEA THAT MIGHT WORK. Then Zordon
paused. He added: HOW DID YOU FIND THE GREEN POWER COIN?
*I landed on it. I'll give it to your Rangers when they come
to get me, OK?*
NO. KEEP IT. THE ORIGINAL GREEN RANGER HAD ALSO BEEN A
FULL
TELEPATH. SO, HIS COIN'S POWERS ARE MORE SUITED TO YOU. AS SOON
AS YOU HEAL UP, THAT IS.
*Alright.* Tommy signed off his connection.

Zordon opened his eyes and stared down at his Rangers.
BILLY,
HOW IS YOUR SHIELD COMING ALONG?
"Almost finished. It will cover four people total." Billy
looked up from his work.
"OK. Billy, you come with me then." Jason said. "Bring a
first aide kit, just in case."
"Right." Billy saluted his leader. He gathered up the
supplies in a bag, then took a stance behind Jason.
     "IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"
     "TRICEROTOPS!"
     "TYRANOSOURS!"

[The Dark Demension]

The doctor who had made the jurney with Tommy was croutched
over his apparently catatonic patient. He couldn't move Tommy
back
onto the bed. Suddenly, the room was filled with Red and Blue
Light. The doctor looked up.
     "Doctor Hurst?" Jason stepped forward.
"Yes. Can you please help me?" Hurst asked.
Jason carefully picked up Tommy and laid the injured boy on
the bed. Then the doctor, with Billy's help, rehooked up the
machines to Tommy.
"Stand close to us." Jason ordered the doctor. Then, the
Rangers teleported the prisoners out of the Dark Demension and
into
Angel Grove Memorial Hospital.

SILENT GREEN PART 14 (by: Caroline Clarke)

[Angel Grove Memorial Hospital]

"Thank you Rangers. Thank you very much." Dr. Hurst
thanked the Rangers as Tommy was helped to a new bed."
"Just make sure he gets better."
"Affermative!" The Rangers saluted the doctor and
teleported away.
"What the hell happened to you guys on the way?" asked
the
doctor that was expecting his arrival much earlier.
"Lets just say we had an encounter with a monster." The
Angel Grove doctor nodded like that was yesterdays news. "Hurry
up
and get him to ICU. I fear he may have another seisure or
something."
        "Yes, Dr. Hurst."
"A monster kicked him to the floor! I want him hooked up
well again, pronto."
"Yes. Go tell the Rush's Tommy is here. They are
worried
sick."
        "Right."

[Rita's Moon Palace]

"You what?" Rita screeched at the gold monkey.
"Well, I didn't mean to let him get away." he sobbed in a
higher than usual voicce.
"Oh. He just got up and walked away, is that what your
saying."
        "No, my emperess!" he cowered.
"Then tell me or I will kill you!"
Goldar took that seriously. "He, ah, burned my balls."
Rita tried not to laugh. "How did he do that!?! Only
strong telepaths have the ability to cause harm!"
"I don't know! Please, can I just lie down."
"Get out of here you big gold gobber! YOU GIVE ME SUCH A
HEADACHE!!!!!!!" she screamed.

[The Command Center]

The two Rangers teleported in and demorphed.
"Did you get him?" Kimberly bit her lip.
"Yes. We teleported him and Dr. Hurst straight to the
hospital." Jason informed them.
"Jason, did you realize Tommy seemed kind of, I don't
know,
stiff?" Billy asked with a look of worry.
"He was quite still. He was breathing though. I made
sure
to check."
"Oh, this is terrible." Trini sobbed.
"DID TOMMY GET THE GREEN POWER COIN?"
"I have no idea Zordon. We didn't have time for
formalities." Bily told Zordon.
"Lets not worry about that now. Lets go comfort the
Rush's."
"Kim's right," Zack spoke up, "They must be scared to
death."
"Lets go." They all teleported out.

"Ay yi yi yi yi Zordon! What became of the old Green
Ranger? You never talked of him."
"HE WAS SEDUCED AND KILLED BY RITA REPULSA, MANY YEARS
AGO.
THE GREEN POWER COIN DISAPPEARED. I DON'T THINK EVEN RITA KNEW
WHERE IT WAS."
"Ai yi yi yi yi! This is awful!" The robot whinned.

SILENT GREEN PART FIFTEEN (by: April Richards)

[Ten Hours Later, Angel Grove Hospital ICU Room 564]

Tommy's weakened body twitched and jerked against the
restraints on his bed. He had been rushed into emergancy surgery
as soon as the Blue and Red Power Rangers had rescued him from
Rita's dark demension. Shortly after the surgery ended, Tommy
suffered a massive seizure. His condition had been downgraded
from
Critical to Guarded. The Rushs sat by their nephew's bedside,
praying for a mircle. The now unMorphed Rangers had also joined
in
the vidual. Ernie had stopped in for a short visit, giving food
to
the friends and family of the injured boy.
"Poor baby." Linda cooed after Tommy had yet another
seizure.
His body was weakening at an alarming rate and the doctors
did
not think that Tommy would live through the night. A priest had
just annointed Tommy for Last Rites.
As Jason watched Tommy, a crazy idea formed in his mind.
He
palmed his Power Coin out of his Morpher. The other Rangers saw
what he was doing.
     "Jason?" Billy asked.
"Look in Tommy's left hand." Jason hissed.
Billy pried open Tommy's stiff fingers and gasped. He had
managed to hide the Green Power Coin from the doctors. Billy
closed Tommy's hand and pulled out his own Coin. Trini, Zach,
and
Kimberly followed suit after Jason whispered his idea to them.
"How are we gonna do it with the Rushs watching us?" Kim
asked
worriedly.
"Zordon will freeze them. They won't hear or see anything."

Billy promised. Then, he spoke into his Communicator. "Ready
Zordon."
OK, BILLY. There was a pause then Zordon said: YOU MAY
BEGIN
AND MAY THE POWER PROTECT YOU ALL.
"We call upon the Power of All those Combined!" Jason
whispered as the Rangers pressed their Coins against the Green
Coin.
     "Mastadon!"
     "Pteridactyl!"
     "Tricerotops!"
     "Saber Toothed Tiger!"
     "Tyranosurous!"
Soft Light jumped from the Coins and into the Green Coin.
The
healing Energies flowed into Tommy. The Rangers could see the
massive internal injuries, hidden from the doctors' technology,
that were slowly killing their new friend vanish, leaving healthy
tissue in its place.
Suddenly, the Light faded and the Rangers slumped in their
chairs, exhausted.
"Did it work?" Kim asked hesitantly. She looked over
Tommy.
He had stopped his awful twitching and was sleeping peacefully.
His heart beat was steady. Some color had crept into his pasty
face.
"I think it did." Zach whispered.
Billy ran a strange looking scanner over Tommy's still form.

He studied the read outs, then smiled. "It did work. We didn't
heal
all the damage, but it was enough to save his life. All he needs
now is time."
Just then, Zordon's benevolent spell wore off the Rushs. The
adults yawned and stretched.
     "What happened?" Linda asked, confused.
"You fell asleep, Mrs. Rush." Kimberly lied.
"Oh. I guess I haven't been sleeping well lately." Linda
frowned. She took Tommy's hand and uttered a soft cry. John, who
had stepped out to use the bathroom, ran over to her side.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" He asked worried. Then, he noticed
the positive change in Tommy also. Their mircle, with a little
unnoticed help from the Rangers, had occured.

SILENT GREEN PART 16 (by: Caroline Clarke)

[Rita's Palace]

"Blasted Rangers!" Rita screeched, "Who do they think
they
are? Goldar?" Rita turned to Goldar, "This is all your fault!"
"I'm sorry my emperss. I will destory him, if it's the
last thing I do!" he bowed.
"You better, you gold monkey!" she hit him on the head
with
her wand.

[Tommy's Room]

"and you say that all of a sudden he took this turn for
the better?" questioned a doctor.
"Yes," Linda sobbed a happy sob, "We fell asleep and they
said that he just improved."
"All of a sudden he just started to get better." added
Trini.
"This is very good." The doctor smiled, "I think we will
have one healthy boy in alittle while." he left the room. Linda
kissed her husband.
        "This is wonderful!" she cried.
"Yes, I don't know what happened but he's going to be
alright." they hugged.
"Kimberly?" Linda touched the girls shoulder, "Are you
alright?" she had been trying to hide the fact that she was
crying
like mad.
"Wha?" she wiped her eyes, "This is just, like, so
emotional!" she sobbed.
The Rangers all gave her a big hug. "Oh, ah, Jason?"
asked
Mr. Rush.
        "Yes?"
"In case he's not gone, would you tell the priest to get
the hell away? We won't be needing him tonight!" John laughed.
It
was the first real laugh he's had in a while.
"It would be my pleasure!" Jason smiled in return. Jason
walked out of the room. The preist had already left. Jason
checked to make sure he was clear and teleported to the Command
Center.

[Command Center]

"JASON! I AM VERY HAPPY TO SEE THAT TOMMY WILL RECOVER!"
Zordon smiled.
"Thanks, Zordon. We couldn't have done it without you."
"Oh, Ay yi yi, this is so emotional." Alpha whimpered.
"I HAVE ONE FEAR RANGER. UNLIKE MOST TELEPATHS TOMMY
LEARNED TOO QUICKLY. AS A RESULT I FEAR HE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO
SPEAK."
"Isn't there anything you could do?" Jason asked
concerned.
"I DO NOT BELIEVE SO. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THAT NOW. JUST
CONCENTRATE ON TOMMY'S WELL BEING."
"Right Zordon. Bye." Jason teleported out in a flash of
red.
"ALPHA. I AM GOING TO TRY TO CONTACT TOMMY."
        He lowered his eye lids.
TOMMY? TOMMY CAN YOU HEAR ME?
*Zordon? Is that you? I'm really scared. My body feels
all tingally and I feel like I'm going to be sick.*
THAT IS A GOOD SIGN, TOMMY. YOU ARE HEALING.
*It sure don't feel like that! When will I be better?*
IT SHOULD ONLY BE A MATTER OF TIME. JUST CONCENTRATE ON
GETTING BETTER.
*Zordon, the coin feels funny. Like it's on fire but
it's
not burning me. Why?*
THE RANGERS POWERED UP YOUR COIN WHICH CAUSED YOU TO
HEAL.
YOU ARE NOW ATTACHED TO THE GREEN POWER COIN AND IT CAN'T BE
TAKEN
AWAY FROM YOU. YOU ARE NOW A MEMBER OF THE POWER RANGERS!
*I'll worry about that when I'm on my feet again. Do you
think I'll ever be able to remember all that happened?*
ALL WILL BE REVEALED IN TIME, TOMMY.
SILENT GREEN PART SEVENTEEN: (by: April Richards)

Tommy's healing body craved rest. The boy spent most of the
time in a deep sleep. His family and friends kept quiet, letting
Tommy get the rest he needed to heal. Even Zordon didn't contact
Tommy, knowing that the boy need mental rest as well as physical.
Of course, he did keep atuned to Tommy, so that the boy could
call
for help, should the need arise.
The Green Power Coin kept discreetly sending Energy into
Tommy's body. It could sence that Tommy was like its former owner
and it was lonely for the communication it would have with Tommy,
once the boy was healed.
*It's been so long.* The Coin's Spirit sighed. *Oh, hurry
up
and get better, will ya?* Tommy's nose twitched, then he was
still
again. The Spirit would have blushed had it had a body. *Oopsy.
Sorry, Tommy.* It said, then was silent.

 [Three Days Later]

Tommy yawned and opened his eyes. Everything was blurry.
*Where am I?* He asked himself. Then, his vision cleared. He
could
see his aunt and uncle sleeping together on a near by bed and the
Rangers huddled together like puppies sleeping in a heap. Tommy
smiled and fell into a normal sleep.

[The Next Morning]

Light shone into Tommy's eyes. *What the hell?* He glared
at
the doctor who was shining a pen light into his eyes.
     "Good morning!" The doctor chirped.
*Go to hell.* Tommy grumbled to himself.
"Well, you're looking better." The doctor smiled. He
ruffled
Tommy's hair and made a few marks on the thick chart that hung
at
the foot of his bed. Just then, Linda and John entered their
nephew's room after having breakfast in the cafeteria.
"Tommy!" Linda hugged the boy when she saw that he was
awake
and alert. "Doctor, when can Tommy go home?" She asked.
"It'll take awhile, Mrs. Rush." The doctor answered. "But,
I'm willing to hazard by the end of the month, he'll be well
enough
to go home. If he keeps up this good progress, the tubes can
come
out of his throat in two days."
"What about his legs?" John asked, worried.
"Well, we'll see if the paralaysis was only temporary in a
few
days." The doctor said, then left.
Linda and John sat by their nephew's side, too afraid to
hope
for the best.

[Two Days Later]

The Rangers were standing by the Rush family as the doctor
removed the tubes from Tommy's nose and throat. The males winced
in sympathy as the tape was ripped from his tender skin.
*Well, I guess won't have a beard or mustashe now.* Tommy
sighed.
"Now, Tommy," The doctor said after he helped the boy sip
some
water. "I want you to try to talk to me, OK?"
Tommy's mouth opened, but nothing came out....

SILENT GREEN PART 18 (by: Caroline Clarke)

"It's okay, Tommy. Please try it again." The doctor told
Tommy calmly.
He opened his mouth and tried to say something but he
couldn't. *What's wrong?* He looked over the faces of the people.

They all looked pretty shaken but Jason looked like he was about
to
keel over! *Why can't I talk? Did I forget?* He frowned.
"Try again Tommy." He tried. The doctor looked very
concerned. "That's good for today Tommy. I'll be back soon." He
left the room in a hurry.
The Rush's ran up to his side and gave him a hug. By now
Tommy knew who they were. He didn't remember very many details
but
he had been told enough to know somethings. "Our poor baby!"
cooed
Linda. "How are you feeling with those tubes out of your
throat?"
Tommy smiled *It feels good. They hurt.* he opened his
mouth again but nothing came out.
Jason pulled Kim's arm into the hall while the other
Rangers comforted Tommy.
"What's up Jason? I want to make sure Tommy's feeling
better!" she said softly.
"Kim. I think that this is serious." He frowned, "Zordon
told me it was possible he won't be able to talk again."
Her eyes filled with tears, "But why? Why not! Zordon
isn't a doctor!"
He comforted her, "Kim. Remember how he told us about it
telepathic skill? Tommy learned too fast. That can result in
the
loose of the ability to talk."
"That's awful!" she sobbed. "Isn't there anything we can
do?"
"Zordon just told us to wait and see for sure." He gave
her a little hug, "Just, don't show that your upset. I think
Tommy
needs positive thinking now."
"Right." she wiped her tears and went back into the room.
Tommy saw them return and he wondered where they went.
From what Tommy knew he really liked Jason. He seemed to be
strong
and took control of his group of friends. He also liked the rest
of the group. The soft spoken girl who always wore yellow. The
"nerd" who always seemed to be staring at the girl in yellow.
The
boy who always wore black and seemed to have a hop in his step.
Then there was the girl, Kimberly. *Man, she's pretty!* he
always
thought. Whenever she thought he was sleeping she would hold his
hand. It always made him feel better. He knew when, *if* he got
better they all would be good friends. With these thoughts,
Tommy
feel asleep.
"I think we should let him sleep and get some rest? Lets
come back in two hours." John told the kids. They all knew he
was
right so they left without question.

[Rita's Palace]

"That little sick boy is alone and asleep! Do you know
what this means Goldar?" She screeched at the monkey.
"Yes, Rita. I will destroy that boy once and for all!
Or
would you prefer him for yourself?"
She hit Goldar with her wand. "How dare you mention
that!
No, Kill him and kill him now!"
Goldar disappeared in a flash of fire.

[Tommy's room]

Goldar appeared in Tommy's room. The little boy was
sleeping soundly and no one knew that he was here.
"Goodbye, Tommy. This is for burning my balls!" Goldar
raised his sword over Tommy's thin body. Suddenly a streak of
Green laser shot out of Tommy's hand and hit Goldar in the eye.
Goldar screamed in pain and tried again and another shot hit him
in
the other eye. Goldar, since he couldn't see, had no choice but
to
retreat.
All this happened and Tommy didn't even wake up. *I
think
we did well* the Green coin patted it's own back

SILENT GREEN PART NINETEEN (by: April Richards)

Tommy laid on a pair of thick pillows, grimacing as he felt
fluids drip from the shunt in his back. It had been placed there
during yet another round of surgery. Apparently, the doctors
discovered that the pressure from the build up of fluids around
the
injury to Tommy's spinal cord was the cause of the boy's
paralaysis. They had to operate to drain the worst of the fluids
from the wound, then inserted a shunt to make sure that the wound
site did not fill up again. The result was that Tommy's back had
to be cleaned several times a day to prevent infection. Tommy
noticed a tingling in his lower body as soon as he woke up from
the
surgery. Now, a few days later, Tommy could feel his legs and
even
had some limited movement in them.
*So bored!* Tommy sighed. The Rangers and Zordon were busy
battling one of Rita's monsters, so he couldn't "talk" with them.

Then, Tommy's stomache growled. *So hungry!* He snarled to
himself. He had only been eating bland slop that the hospital
called food. His dreams were being filled with images of a thick
juicy hamburger with all the trimmings and a large order of
french
fries, dripping with salt and grease. A large, surgary coke
filled
with ice and a hunk of chocolate cake to finish off this dream
meal.
Tommy hoped that the battle would be over soon. Then, he'd
have some company. He loved his aunt and uncle, but they had a
tendency to fuss over him. It was more stressful and upsetting
for
Tommy to be constantly reminded that he was sick and hurt. At
least
the Rangers offered him the time to forgot and pretend that he
was
normal.
He had taken to exploring Angel Grove High School, his new
school once he was recovered enough to attend, through Jason's
eyes. The young Red Ranger knew that Tommy was with him in
spirit
and didn't mind the company, especially since Tommy was a whiz in
physics, a subject Jason struggled with. Also, having Tommy in
his
head lessened the loneliness Jason often felt as the leader of
the
Power Rangers.
What Tommy did not realize was that he had to learn to
screen
his thoughts. His fantasies had a tendency to filter into the
minds
of Zordon, the Rangers, and anyone who had the sensitivity to
pick
up on it. The adrenline from the battle kept the rangers from
being distracted by Tommy's stream of conscious thoughts until
the
monster was defeated.
Closing his eyes, Tommy focused on his friends. He felt the
constrains of his body fall away as he flew to the battle.

[Angel Grove Park]

Kim dodged a missle from the monster they were fighting. She
was panting heavily.
"This thing is tough!" Kim wailed. She was hurting from
the
several blows she had taken.
"I know." Jason growled. "Spindletop is tough, but we can
beat him!"

Tommy floated above the battle, unnoticed by the others.
Since he was in no danger, he could study the monster at his
leasure. He noticed that Spindletop had one weakness. There was
no
way that he could just "tell" the Rangers and hope that they
understood him. There was too much at stake.
Steeling himself, Tommy slipped into Jason's body and took
over. Using Jason's body, Tommy jumped over Spindletop and
called
upon the Power Sword. Then, he hit the only weakspot with the
sword. As the monster started to fall, Tommy made Jason rejoin
his
friends, safe from the flying debris.
Jason shook his head as Tommy fled back to his body. The
young telepath didn't realize that the slender, silver thread
that
connected himself with his body had become entangled with
Jason's,
creating a mental link between the two boys.
"Jason, are you OK?" Zach asked as he watched his leader.
"Yeah. I just feel strange." Jason shook off the feeling.
"Let's go and see if Tommy's awake."
"OK!" Kim laughed as she unMorphed. The other Rangers
unMorphed also. Then, they left for the hospital. When they
arrived, they found Tommy pale and asleep in his bed. He looked
gaunt, like he too had just experienced a great battle.

SILENT GREEN PART 20! (by: Caroline Clarke)

[Tommy's Room]

Tommy's dreams were different this time. He dreamed of
fighting in the Green Ranger costume. The costume seemed to link
him to the old Green Rangers thoughts. He could feel the old
Green
Rangers feelings of happines, love, hatred and sadness. The
feeling gave Tommy the shivers.
He awoke to find 10 eyes staring at him. *What the...?*
he
asked himself.
        "Good morning Tommy!" Kimberly smiled.
*Good morning beautiful.* he thought. *It's not
morning.*
She blushed. "I know, but you did just wake..." she
looked
around. *Who just said that to me?* she thought.
        *I did.* Tommy answered.
"Woah! Guys! Tommy's, like, talking to me!" she
shivered.
"What do you mean?" asked Trini.
"I didn't hear anything." Zack shoke his head.
"Kimberly?" Jason put her hand on her shoulder, "I've
been
having the feeling Tommy's talking to me too. We're not
telepathic." They smiled at Tommy.
        "I know...but?"
*Zordon?* Tommy tried to talk to Zordon.
YES TOMMY. I WOULD LIKE TO COMMEND YOU ON HELPING IN THE
FIGHT. THE RANGERS WOULD HAVE WANTED TO THANK YOU. I THINK YOU
CONFUSED JASON.
*Is it possible that the Rangers could read my thoughts.*
I WAS WONDERING ABOUT THAT MYSELF TOMMY. THE POWER COINS
YOU ALL HAVE MAY HAVE LINKED YOU TOGETHER MENTALLY. IT IS
POSSIBLE. THE RANGERS HAVE TOLD ME OF THE FEELING THEY THOUGHT
THEY HAD. THEY THOUGHT IT WAS YOU BUT I WAS WILLING TO RULE IT
OUT
UNTIL YOU TOLD ME.
*I guess I better watch what I think around them, eh?*
Tommy smiled to himself.
THAT WOULD BE WISE. INFORM THE RANGERS. CONCENTRATE ON
TALKING TO THEM AND THEY WILL HEAR.
        *Thanks Zordon.*

        *Hello guys!* Tommy smiled.
They all looked at each other shock on thier faces.
        "Tommy?" asked Billy.
*Yup. Freaky eh?* his eyes sparkled.
        "But how?" asked Kimberly.
*I just asked Zordon and he said that we are linked
because
of the Power Coins. As long as you have it I can talk to you
anytime. So you better beware!* he grinned.
"This is too weird." Trini shock her head.
"I'm just glad that we can finally, officially talk to
you!" Kimberly gave him a careful hug.
*That feels nice* he thought, forgetting they could all
hear. Kimberly blushed even redder this time.
"So, ah, man, now that we can talk to you is there
anything
you want?" asked Zack.
*I would give an arm and a leg for a hamburger!* he
pretended to pant.
"I'll see what I can arrange." Jason smiled and walked
out
of the room.
"How are you feeling?" asked Billy.
*Considering my backs being dripped, fine. I'm starting
to
get more feeling in my legs.*
"That's great! I can't wait to spar with you!" Zack
grinned.
*That might take a little longer. But, one day. But
don't
worry. I'll be nice.*
        "Sure, I'm waiting." they smiled.
"Tommy?" Trini called his attention. "This is a weird
question but can you laugh?"
*I don't know. I guess one day I'll be brave enough to
try.*
"Tommy. It is possible for you to communicate for us
which
would make it probable that we can communicate with you?" Billy
pushed his glasses back up his nose.
        *Only one way to tell.*
"Okay. Pick a number between 1 and 100. I'll try to
tell
you through your mind." *37* he thought.
*That was too easy bro. 37!* he yawned. *That made me
feel a little funny though. I think we should take that part
slow.*
        "Sure." they all smiled.
"Anyone order a hamburger with the works?" Jason skipped
through the door. "The doctors said it couldn't hurt.
*Oh, thank god! I need it!*

SILENT GREEN PART TWENTY ONE (by: April Richards)

[Two weeks later]

Tommy shifted in his chair as he tried to watch some
television. He was waiting for the doctor to come and take out
the
shunt in his back. It would be done in his room, under a local
anthestic. It was the only think keeping Tommy in the hospital.
Once the shunt was gone, Tommy could go to his new home. His
aunt
and uncle had brought in a video of the house so that Tommy would
already know his way around it once he was home. One on the
surrounding neighborhood was also done for him.
Just as Tommy was about to fall asleep from boredom, a nurse
entered his room. She smiled a greeting.
     "Hello, Tommy."
"Hello." He signed, using American Signlanguage, which he
gained by looking into Kim's head. The nurse was proficient in
sign language, so she was assigned to Tommy specifically.
"What's
that?" Tommy asked, pointing to the syringe in her hand.
"Just something to relax you." She said while injecting him
with the contents of the syringe. It was potent stuff and Tommy
swayed as it hit him. "Why don't you just lay down now. The
doctor
will be here in about twenty minutes. The nurse lead Tommy back
to
his bed. Tommy yawned, then fell asleep. He did not feel the
doctor inject the anathetic into his back or the shunt being
removed.
Linda and John entered Tommy's room once the doctor was
done.
"Can he go home now?" She asked.
"Sure. I'll have one of the orderlies get him dressed. He'll
sleep for awhile." The doctor smiled. "We're going to miss that
kid." He added, then left.

[Late That Night]

Tommy yawned and opened his eyes. Instead of finding the
bland walls of his hospital room, he was in a room with soft,
mint
green walls decorated with semi familar posters.
*Where am I?* He asked himself.
"Welcome home, Tommy!" Linda hugged her nephew. "You slept
the entire time." She laughed. "But, the doctor said that you can
start school after the Christmas holidays." She added. "Now,
why
don't you get dressed and we'll have a late dinner, OK?"
Tommy nodded his head and dressed in tight jeans and a green
flannel shirt. He couldn't find any shoes, so he wore a pair of
fuzzy tiger slippers instead. He plodded down the stairs and
paused at the doorway to the dining room. It was dark, but....
*OK, who's here?* He asked as he stepped into the room.
"SURPRIZE!" The Rangers and the Rushes yelled. A large
banner
proclaiming: "WELCOME HOME, TOMMY!" was strung above the table.
The table was loaded with food and presents. Tommy jumped back,
then smiled.
*Funnie.* He laughed. *Really funnie guys. How come I
couldn't sense you?*
*Simple.* Billy responded mentally. *Your Power Coin was in
on the surprize. The Green Spirit blocked us from you. Besides,
you
were sacked out. I don't think anything could have woken you
up."
Tommy shook his head and joined his friends and family in
the
dining room. He glanced at the calander with a start. It was
December 24. He had been in the hospital for over two months.
Just then, the chimes on the hallway clock chimed twelve times.
It
was midnight, Christmas Day.
"Merry Christmas, Tommy." Kim hugged him, then, gave him a
kiss. Tommy blushed and looked up. He was standing under the
mistletoe.
*Merry Christmas, Kimberly.* He kissed her back.

[Two Weeks later]

"I assume we don't have to give you a tour." Jason
laughed.
*No, I feel like I've been here my whole life. It was
interesting seeing it from your POV though.*
"You know, some might consider it rude that you go into
our
heads." Zack laughed.
*Ya, well beware Zack, man. I'm coming to get ya!*
"Gonna think me to death, eh!" He gently slapped Tommy.
        *Maybe I will.* he grinned.
"Well, I know that you'll do find. You gave me some
pretty
good answers there, bro." they all laughed.
Tommy smiled to himself. What he really wanted to do was
cry to himself. All the Rangers were so good to him. They
treated
him like they had known him forever...not a few weeks. Jason was
a good friend. They had good conversations in their heads about
everything. Tommy loved to joke around with Zack. He was
really
funny and he liked to sing a lot. Billy was a genious. He could
tell Tommy all interesting facts of the Power Rangers past.
Trini
would help Tommy mentally focus on healing himself using
relaxation
techiniques. And Kimberly. Tommy really felt strong for
Kimberly.
She was beautiful, funny and always made him feel better. He
loved
her laugh too...it brightened his day. When they had some brief
kisses on the mistletoe he was so happy. Tommy knew in the
future
she would be his. *kim...* he thought silently.
She turned around and looked at him confused. *Did you
call my name?* she thought to him. He blushed. Tommy hadn't
realized that he had said her name outloud. *No. I didn't say
anything, Kimberly.* he smiled.
"You are lucky, Tomboy. The teachers CAN'T make you
answer
questions." Jason laughed, remembering all the times teachers
caught him without the answers.
*Thanks, Jase. I knew there must be an upside!* he
punched
Jason lightly *Guys. How do I look for my first day of school?*
he
did a little turn. He wore baggy green pants and a green and
white
flannel shirt. He wore his hair down and it spun with him.
"You, my friend, look awesome." Kimberly clapped her
hands.
"Thanks!" he smiled shyly and the other Rangers nooded at
each other knowingly.

[The Youth Center--same day]

"You survived." Trini patted Tommy on the shoulder. They
sat around a table at the Juice Bar. Kimberly sat down extremly
close to Tommy.
*Hey it wasn't that bad. Actually I can't remember most
of
my other school so this one was pretty good.*
"It can only get worse. February. That's the killer."
Kimberly laughed.
"So, ah, Tommy. Would you be willing to spar." Jason
scratched his chin.
        *I don't know, man. It's been a while and I am hardly
dressed the part.* He grinned.
"That can be changed man." Zack got up and left the
group.
"Guys. Do you realize something. People must think that
we are really weird! We are repling to questions that were never
have be voiced." informed Billy.
"Ya. But what can we do?" Trini smiled.
"Let people think what they want. We're happy." Kimberly
smiled.
Zack returned with a new, light green gi. "Voila!" he
gaved it to Tommy.
*Thanks, man.* he looked it over. It was a great gi.
"Don't thank him!" Kimberly huffed, "It's from all of
us."
*Oh, I appologize! Thank you all!* he bowed to them,
*No,
seriously. This is one of the nicest things anyone has ever done
for me...that I can remember.* he frowned.

SILENT GREEN PART TWENTY THREE (by: April Richards)

Zach and Jason waited for Tommy to change into his new gi.
It
took him longer than it normally should have to changed. The
boys
were getting worried about their new friend when he finally
exited
the boy's locker room. Once the silent boy had rejoined them,
they
went onto the mats and bowed.
"Begin!" Zach said, acting as spotter.
Before either boy could make a move, their communicators
bleeped out a warning. Jason cupped his wrist and nodded towards
the cooridor. Billy, Trini and Kimberly joined their friends in
front of the lockers. Then, they teleported to the Command
Center.
     "What's wrong, Zordon?" Jason asked.
RANGERS, RITA HAS SENT DOWN A NEW MONSTER AND A HORDE OF
PUTTIES. Zordon said. YOU MUST MORPH AND STOP THEM. TOMMY, DID
YOU NOT FEEL THE MONSTERS' PRESENCE ON THE EARTH?
*I don't know. I felt *something* like a tickle on my brain.

Was that the monsters?*
YES. NOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR, YOU CAN DETECT
MONSTERS BEFORE OUR EQUIPMENT CAN.
     *COOL!* Tommy smiled.
Jason laughed at his new friend, then, took a stance. The
Rangers fell instep behind him.
     "IT'S MORPHIN TIME!"
     *DRAGON ZORD!*
     "MASTADON!"
     "PTERIDACTYL!"
     "TRICEROTOPS!"
     "SABERTOOTHED TIGER!"
     "TRANOSUROUS!"

The Rangers landed in the middle of Angel Grove park.
Snarler, Rita's latest monster, was smashing the various statues
that decorated the park. The putties blocked the monster from
the
Rangers.
*What are those things?* Tommy asked.
"Putties. Bad news." Jason panted as he fought the gray
clay
beings. "Tommy, you and Kim go after Snarler. We'll handle the
putties."
*Gotcha!* Tommy gave Jason a thumbs up. The Pink and Green
Rangers jumped over the putties and landed in front of the
monster.
Snarler was a monsterous version of the Sabertoothed Tiger that
was
Trini's Power Animal. Snarler growled and slashed at Tommy with
his massive claws. Tommy flew against a tree and landed with a
stunning THUD.
"TOMMY!" Kim squealed, then attacked Snarler. Snarler
batted
Kim away, smashing the Pink Ranger into a steel statue. She did
not get back up.
*KIMBERLY!!! NOOOO!!!* Tommy wailed. A ball of Green
Lightning formed in his hands. Tommy launched the ball at
Snarler.
The monster vanished in a hail of smoke and fire. *Oh, please,
Kimberly!* Tommy prayed as he ran towards the girl's side. He
kneeled by her as she started coming around.
"Oh, my head!" Kim murmured. "That hurt!"
Tommy didn't respond. Instead, he placed his hands on either
side of her helmet and focused on the massive head injuries she
had
suffered. Tommy's Energy flowed into Kim, healing the Pink
Ranger. Kim sat up just as Tommy's hands fell away and Tommy
collasped in a heap. Before he lost consciousness, the Rangers
heard Tommy whimper *Mom....Dad....*

SILENT GREEN PART 24! (by: Caroline Clarke)

[The Command Center]

The Rangers all teleported in and Tommy was on the
ground,
demorphed. They all surronded him. He was pale but he was
breathing.
        "Oh my god." Kimberly sobbed.
RANGERS. GET TOMMY ONTO THE MEDICAL BED.
Zordons booming voice called them back to reality. They
had all been in some kind of daze starring at their injured
friend.
All of them carried him to the bed that Alpha had put out for
him.
"Oh, ai yi yi." Alpha whimpered as he ran scans all over
Tommy's body.
"Zordon," Kimberly tried to keep a steady voice, "What
was
Tommy doing? He, I don't know, it seems he healed me!"
I WAS NOT AWARE OF HOW STRONG TOMMY POWERS WERE. ONLY
FEW
TELEPATHS CAN DO THAT. I CAN NOT EVEN DO THAT AND I WAS TRAINED
BY
MASTERS. ALSO, TO BE ABLE TO PULL ONES POWER OUT OF ONESELF AND
INTO ANOTHER, THAT OTHER PERSON MUST BE CARED ABOUT ABOVE ALL
THINGS.
Kimberly was confused. *What does that mean?* She
didn't
want to think about things like that at the moment. She didn't
want
to try to comprehend why her head didn't hurt. All that was
important was Tommy and his life.
"Good news Rangers." Alpha finished up his scans of the
Green Ranger, "Tommy is just exahusted."
HIS BODY IS NOT YET ACUSTOMED TO HIS ABILITY. THE USUAGE
MUST HAVE WORN HIM OUT. RANGERS, HE WILL BE FINE.
The Rangers all cheered. They had been very afraid that
he
was not going to live. He had been through so much in the past
they couldn't stand to have seen him die now.
"Zordon. When do you think he'll come around?" Trini
asked
her leader.
IT COULD BE ANYTIME. IF THE GREEN POWER COIN IS WORKING
IT
COULD BE A MATTER OF MINUTES.
*Oh, I'm working! I'm workin'!* the Green Power coin
yelled. The Rangers all laughed the coin.

[30 minutes later]

Kimberly sat next to Tommy. In the time that they had
been
with him she had never left his side. To the other Rangers, it
appeared she was "thinking" to him. They all hoped the soothing
voice of Kimberly's thoughts would bring him around.
Tommy began make mind noises. All the Rangers had to
cover
there ears to try to shut out the awful scrreeching noises. It
stopped.
"Zordon. What was that?" asked Billy, "It is nothing I
can
explain."
THAT WOULD BE TOMMY'S AWAKENING. WHEN UNCONCIOUS A
TELEPATH , HOW SHOULD I EXPLAIN THIS, SHUTS THEMSELVES OFF.
TOMMY
HAS RE-OPENED HIS LINKS.
"So I guys this would be a good time to chat." Zack
suggested. They all stood there and appeared to be doing
nothing.
They were talking to Tommy.
His eyes sleepily opened and he yawned a big yawn. The
Rangers couldn't help but giggle. He tasted his mouth and looked
around. *What happened? I feel totally pooped.* he yawned
again.
"Do you remember the fight?" asked Jason
*Sorta. I remember that Kimberly got...* he looked
around
frantically. He didn't remember if he had seen her after waking
up, *Kimberly??*
"Here. You know, the one holding your hand." she smiled.
*Thank goodness! Well, after she got, well ya know, my
insticts told me to do something. I did it but I can't remember
exactly what.*
"You saved me!" Kimberly giggled. She got up and gave
him
a soft kiss on the lips.
*I think I'm gonna like saving you.*

SILENT GREEN PART TWENTY FIVE (By: April Richards)

The Rangers sat with their friend as he got his bearings
after
waking up. Tommy looked like a sleepy kitten with his eyes half
closed. His head rested on Kimberly's lap. Kimberly played with
his long hair.
"Um, Tommy," Jason hesitated. "I want to ask you something."
     *Shoot*
"Why did you say 'Mom and Dad.....' before you passed out?"
Tommy flinched. *I....it was a car accident, right? We
were
heading home after the Karate match in New York City. We were
almost home after getting off the plane.* Tommy whispered.
Jason kneeled in front of his friend. "Yeah, bro. It was a
car accident. You were comatose for three weeks. Everyone
thought
that you were going to die."
Tommy was crying. Jason held his friend. The Rangers joined
in and enveloped Tommy in a group hug.

[A Few Days Later]

The Rangers anxiously paced about the floor of the Command
Center. Tommy had left Angel Grove the day after the battle. Mrs.
and Mr. Rush were still in town, but refused to devulge their
nephew's whereabouts to anyone.
"Zordon, can't *you* contact him?" Kim asked worriedly.
I CAN, BUT I WILL DO THAT ONLY IN AN EMERGANCY. I THINK
THAT
TOMMY NEEDS HIS PRIVACY RIGHT NOW.
"But, Zordon, what if something happens to him?" Jason
frowned.
RANGERS.... Zordon started, but his voice trailed off.
Billy
was working at the controls for the View Globing, bringing up
Tommy's location. He was in Washington, D.C. They watched as
Tommy knelt before his parents' grave and laid two white roses in
front.
*Mom, Dad, it's me, Tommy. I just wanted to tell you that
I'm
OK. I'm living with with Aunt Linda and Uncle John. I really
miss
you guys. I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you good bye.* Tommy
sat
back on his heels. He stared into the distance for a moment.
*I
like living in Angel Grove. I've made some very special friends
there. I, uh, still don't remember everything, but I remember
enough to know that I loved you and I always will.* Tommy whiped
away a tear that had snaked a path down his cheek. He sniffed
once, then smiled. *Oh, I forgot to tell you. There's someone
important in my life now. Her name's Kimberly Hart.....*
