A Christmas Wish Come True
by Karma

December 24, 1986

Dear Santa,
Hi my name is Tanya Sloan and I am seven years old. For Christmas, I want just one thing. To have my parents home. I know it's a lot to ask, but I miss them very much. If you could do that, I'll be very happy and never wish for anything again!

Your forever friend,
Tanya Sloan

Dear Santa,
Hi, this is Tanya Sloan again. I'm now 17, and I wanted to thank you for making my wish come true, even if it was ten years late. My parents have finally come home, and I have you to thank of it. This year, I have no wishes, for they have all come true!
Your forever friend,
Tanya Sloan

Tanya reread the letter, and smiled. It was true, her wish had all come true. She had a family again. Of course, she'd always had a family: her friends, the Rangers, the tribe that had taken care of her for most of her life, and she had Adam now.

The phone rang, jeering her out of her thoughts.

"Hello?"

Hi Tanya, it's Aisha.

Tanya broke up into a huge smile. "Hey, how are you doing?"

I'm great! I thought I'd call and wish you a Merry Christmas!

"Merry Christmas to you too!"

How's the PR business? I know Adam's taken quite a liking to you. He writes and talks about you all the time to me!

"He does? Well, the Rangering is fine, although I get confused of what I'm supposed to do sometimes. And Adam and I are going steady!"

That's great! I'm so happy for you!

"Yeah, um, thanks. So what have you been up to?"

Nothing much. I've been dating this really nice guy in the local town. I think we're getting really serious! And Kim's been writing me. Have you two met yet?

"Yeah. Did she tell you about the recant on goings?"

About her volcano mishap? Yea, some what.

"That was bad." Tanya agreed. She went on and described the trip into great detail. "But in the end, everything turned out okay."

That sounded awful! Anyway, I got your tape you sent me, the one when you sang a song in. Your voice is wonderful!

"Thanks. I've been offered a chance to sing professionally. And I'm thinking about taking it, now that I graduated."

I say go for it! What do you have to lose?

"Adam," Tanya responded softly.

He'll tell you to go for it, Aisha predicted.

"I know, that's what I'm scared of!"

You won't lose him, but I have to go, and remember go! It's just too big of a chance to say no to. You'll be a hit!

"Okay, talk to ya later," Tanya hung up, feeling a little bit more certain about what she was going to do.

It was going to be hard to say good bye, but if they really did love each other, they'd find a way to be together.

The End
