The Wedding

"Today's the day buddy, are you excited?" Tommy asked Jason.

"Oh, yeah." Jason replied, "I've been waiting for today for a very long time."

"I can't believe everything that's been happening these last couple of months." Tommy commented

"Well, you're about to get a couple more surprises." said a voice from behind them.

They turned around and saw Billy and Zack walk into the room. "Hey, man," Zack started, "that tux looks great!"

"So," Billy said, "She really was alive huh?"

"Yep," Jason said, "and thank god, I don't know what I'd have ever done without her, and after today I'll never find out."

"You know," Tommy started, "after Laura dissappeared, I always thought I'd be the first one to get married."

Meanwhile, Laura was in another room getting ready with the help of her maid of honor, Trini.

"You know that dress looks great on you." Trini said.

"I'm really glad, you know, I thought this day would never come, I can't believe Jase kept the ring this long."

"I can, you didn't see him when we lost you."

"Can I join the party?" asked a voice from behind them.

"Kim!" Laura exclaimed, "I'm so glad you're here!"

"No." Kim stated, "I'm so glad you're here. Jason never would have made it without you, besides someone has to guard the crystals."

"You know, " Laura said, "Zordon is my dad and all, but I really don't know how to do it, Jase doesn't either, but I guess we'll figure it out together."

"So, are you the purple ranger again?"

"Zordon said I can't lose the power, even if I want to."

The girls hear a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Laura asked,

"It's Adam, can I come in?"

"Sure come on in."

Adam enters the room wearing a black tuxedo. "So, Laura are you ready? The church is full, and I don't think Tommy can keep your fiance away much longer."

"Well then, I spose we should start then."

Kim, Zack, and Billy walked to their seats. Kat, Rocky, and Adam were all in the wedding.

"Gosh, it's just so hard to believe." Kim started, "Look at him up there."

"Yep, I always though you and Tommy would be the first one's married." Zack teased.

Kim hit him.

"Here she comes bro." Tommy whispered, "Are you ready?"

"As long as you've still got the ring." Jason whispered back.

As Laura walked down the aisle on the arm of her adopted father John Wilson, she couldn't help thinking how much she wished Zordon could be there too.

"Daddy." Laura started, "Thanks."

"For what sweetheart?"

"For being here."

"I love you, now go get married," he kissed her on the cheek and turned to sit down.

Kat stood near the bride and groom, since she had met Laura a few months ago, she had grown to see why she meant so much to Jason and everyone else.

Beside Kat, Tanya was also thinking about Laura and Jason, "I really hope they're happy together." she thought.

Rocky and Adam, at the back of the church as ushers however, had other thoughts, "I really hope Zedd doesn't show up to blow this for them."

At the front of the church, the minister had just repeated the vows to Laura. She gazed at Jason, "I do." she whispered.

"I know pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride."

Jason leaned over to kiss her, "As long as I live." he whispered in her ear, and he kissed her.

"Aw. Wasn't that sweet?" Adam said.

"I thought it was." Kim said.

"Kim!" Exclaimed Rocky, "Hi!"

The three of them stood in the back of the church and talked.

"Congratulations, Jase." Kat said as he hugged her.

"It never could have been without you Kat. Thank you."

"You're welcome, it's great to see you guys so happy."

Rocky walked toward the front of the church to meet his girlfriend. "So Jase, I'll let you get back to your wife..." and escorted Kat down the isle...

"My wife," Jason whispered to himself and walked toward his wife and best friend, "my wife, so how about another kiss from my wife?"

Jason and Laura kissed again.

"So," Kim asked Tommy, "how long do you suppose before they notice I'm here?"

"Oh, they won't you should remember... now how about a kiss for your boyfriend?''

"We should really get to the reception hon." Laura said, "You know dancing and stuff."

The couples left the church and headed toward the limo. "Congrats Bro." Tommy said. "I'm so happy for you, so what's on for the honeymoon?"

"Well, actually, Zordon's letting us use the teleporter to go to Hawaii."

"Good plan. So did you pack any sunscreen?"

"Who says we'll ever leave the room..."

"So Laura, are you excited?" Kim asked

"Oh, yeah."

"So," Jason started grabbing his wife from behind."Whatcha thinkin?"

"I love you."

"I love you too."

They all got in the car and drove to the dance. When they got there, they saw that the place was already pretty full. Trini met them outside, "Hey where have you guys been. They're ready for your big dance Jase and Laura."

They entered the room, "So," the band leader began, "We've got the bride and groom, now for the first dance, here it comes." The familiar strands of a song came.

"How did I know it would be that one?" Trini whispered to Tommy.

The words started as Jason and Laura began to sway,

The world's been spinning round since time began, and when it stops is out of my hands, So I could swear forever for all it's worth, or give you every day I have on earth...

As Jason and Laura danced they seemed oblivious to everything but each other.

As they danced two people walked into the room, a man and a woman, neither of which looked much older than thirty. As the song was over, the woman walked toward Jason, and the man, to Laura.

"May we cut in?" Asked the man.

"Yes, go right ahead," said Jason.

Jason and the woman began to dance,"I'm so proud of you." she began.

"Thanks but why would you be proud?"

"Jason, it's me, it's your mother."

"Deluca?"

"Yes, Zordon and I are here, for one day, for the day of the wedding, son, are you ready for the gaurdianship?"

"I don't know. What do we have to do?"

"Actually Jason, all it entails is for you and Laura to remain Rangers, and protect the crystal, then, when the time comes, you will pick the new Rangers, and pass the gaurdianship to your child, and the child of Tommy Oliver and Kimberly Heart. I do have one more thing I must tell you, there is one more trial that must be passed but I can share you no details, and you must not mention this to your wife. Now, son," she continued as the dance slowed, "we must go. Be happy." and with that, Deluca walked out the door, followed by Zordon.

"Jason," Laura started, "do you know who that was?''

"Yes, did Zordon explain the deal to you."

"Yeah, but he said not to worry for the next few days, that nothing will happen."

As they walked back to their table, the band leader began to talk, "I would like the groom, best man, and ushers to come up here to sing their songs. I also need Laura Scott, Kat Hilliard, Kimberly Heart, and Tanya Sloan."

"What did you do?" Laura asked her husband.

"Wait a minute, you'll see. Now come up on stage with me."

On stage, all of the girls were standing with their boyfriends. Jason began the song. As he sang he gazed into his wife's eyes. When he reached the chorus, the rest of the boys joined in.

I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea,
I want to lay like this forever until the sky falls down on me.

They finished the song, and danced a few more times, and finally the dance was over.

"Well, everyone," Jason started as Laura went to change out of her dress. "Thanks."

"No problem." Zack answered.

"Yea, and have fun." Billy said.

Laura came back then, and it was Jason's turn to change out of his tux. While Jason was on his way, he heard some noises behind him. "Laura!" yelled Kim, "Watch out!"

But it was too late, the last thing Jason saw was Laura sinking to the floor. Then she was gone.

"Not again." Jason whispered, "Not again."

"We'll find her. I promise." Tommy told him, "We'll find her."

The group teleported to the Command Center, "Zordon, we have a problem." Adam said.

"I know Rangers. Find my daughter."

Billy and Adam walked over to the computers, Billy imputed some data. "I'm not finding anything..."

Adam said, "Wait! What's that?"

Billy replied, "I think it's Laura, Tommy can I see you for a minute?"

"Look," Jason said, "Just tell me, *darn* it!"

"Well fine, but sit down."

Jason sat with Tommy and Trini on either side of him.

"I think she's dead Jase."

"What???" Tommy asked.

"No. She's not dead, I'd know. I knew last time, she's ok... It must just be this test Deluca was talking about. She's OK. She must be OK."

"What test?"

"It doesn't matter right now, we've just got to find her... We've got to."

"Jason," Trini tried, "What if..."

"Rangers, Jason." Zordon started, "There's no way to do anything right now, the scanners are running, as soon as we get a lock on her, we will contact you. Get some rest."

"I think that's a good idea." Tommy said firmly. "Look, can everyone come to my house tonight? I don't think we should leave him alone." he added to the others.

The other Rangers all nodded their heads.

"OK," Tommy replied, "Meet us in my basement." he turned to Jason, "Look Jase, come home with me tonight, please."

"I really want to be alone." he mumbled.

"Please Jase." Tommy replied, "We're not letting what happened last time happen again. We're not."

"OK, I guess."

They teleported to Tommy's house. They walked in and the house was deserted.

"Long as I live, Long as I breathe. I made a promise to her today Tommy. I'm not going to break it. I don't want to live without her. *Heck* I can't live without her."

"We'll find her."

"What if we don't?"

"Then you have to go on for her."

The others arrived then. "Does everyone want pizza?" Rocky asked, "I'll buy."

"Sure, If you're buyin'" Adam responded, "Can't pass that one up."

"How is he?" Trini asked Tommy.

"Not too great." Tommy responded. "You should have heard our talk. If she's really gone this time, we can't leave him alone."

"Then she'd better be alright. But Billy told me her life functions are only at 5% so she's either dead or dying."

"*Shoot*" Tommy swore, "This can't be happening, not again."

The night came, but Jason did not sleep. Billy woke up at midnight. He went to the kitchen. "You been up all this time?" he asked Jason.

"Yep," he responded.

"Can I help at all?'

"Do you know where she is?" Jason asked

"No, I'm sorry I don't"

"Then you can't help."

Tommy and Kim came upstairs then, "Look everyone, don't even try, the only thing that's going to cheer me up is her."

Their communicators chimed.

"Rangers," Zordon's voice boomed, "A monster has appeared in Angel Grove Park."

"OK, Zordon, we're on our way."

The Rangers teleported out.

"Good luck guys." Billy whispered.

The group of Rangers appeared in the park. Jason began taking on the puttys then he spotted Goldar and made his way to the monkey, "Where the *heck* is she?" he asked. "I want her back..."

"Well, just go get her, she's right over there." Goldar pointed to a pile of bushes, and teleported out.

Jason ran over to the bushes. "Laura!" he exclaimed, "*shoot* help me!"

Jason picked her up and teleported to the Command Center.

Jason, in the Command Center put Laura on the table. He grabbed her hand, "She's alive."

Billy, who had been watching the fight from the Command Center scanned her. "She seems to have a virus."

"What? Why would she have a virus?" Tommy asked.

"It seems to be implanted in her. I see no cure right now." Alpha added,

"Is she going to be alright?" Jason asked.

"I think so, if she awakens from her comatose state." Billy responded.

"Can I take her to our house?" Jason asked.

"She may respond to something there. May I also suggest that each of you talk to her, that helps." Zordon suggested.

"Why don't you all come to the house." Jason said, "Please."

With that Jason took Laura in his arms, and teleported out.

"We'd better get going there too." Kim said, "He'll need us."

They teleported to the couple's home.

As they walked toward the bedroom, Tommy stopped them. "Listen. We'd better give him a few more minutes." They could hear the sound of Jason's voice talking to his wife. "Laura, I need you, Please come back to me, I can't live without you honey, please." He held her hand and started to cry softly.

Three months pass. Christmas is celebrated, and still no response from Laura. It's now Feb. 14th.

Jason enters Laura's room like he's done every day for the past three months. "*Gosh* I miss you." he whispered. Outside, in the hallway, Tommy and the others are outside waiting.

Jason starts talking again, "The others think I should move on with my life. They don't think you're going to make it. But you are, you have to."

He starts to sing

You've opened my eyes, and shown me how to love unselfishly.
I've dreamed of this a thousand times before, and in my dreams I couldn't love you more.
I will give you my heart until the end of time, you're all I need, my love my Valentine.

And even if the sun refused to shine, even if romance ran out of time, You would still have my heart.

In the hallway, Kim whispered to Tommy, "He still loves her."

"You're all I need my love." Jason whispered the final line, "My Valentine."

"You've got to be OK." he said.

The others walked into the room, "Jase," Kat asked, "How's she doing?"

"She's not awake."

"Yes, she is." a voice came.

The others slowly backed out of the room.

"Laura." Jason said, "I knew you'd be OK."

"I love you."

" I love you too."

Two weeks later Jason and Laura Scott finally left for their honeymoon.
