Muse Trouble
by: Emily

"Please? I want a fic about me!" my muse, Danthria exclaimed. I took a deep breathe and massaged my throbbing temple. I looked at Danthria, why was sitting at the top of my computer.

"I can't write a fic about you right now. I'm a little busy," I tried to explain, soothingly. It didn't work, unfortunately as Danthria crossed her arms and glared at me. Newly hatched, she could be a bit of a nuisance sometimes. And this was one of those times.

"But you promised!" she whined. "You said you would write one!" I sighed and rolled my eyes at Danthria.

"I told you I would write one about you, when I have the time! Write now I have to finish the stories that I'm working on." I explained to her. She shifted her weight and recrossed her arms, pouting. I sighed and tried to get back to my newest story. Danthria looked down at the fic curiously. She tilted her head to get a better view, causing her to become off balanced. As she started falling forward, she waved her wings frantically to catch herself. I gasped in horror as she fell onto the keyboard.

"Danthria! Are you okay?" I asked her. She stood up and shook her head, smiling up at me. I sighed in relief as she flew over to the monitor.

"I'm fine. I'm all shook up." Danthria said, imitating Elvis, the King of Rock and Roll. I turned back to the screen to continue, and my mouth dropped. The fanfic was gone.

"Oh no!" I screamed, looking for my files desperately. All of them were gone. Deleted. Danthria looked at me and tilted her head to the side in wonder as I ran my fingers through my hair.

"What's wrong Emily?" she asked. I looked at her like she was crazy.

"What's wrong? What's WRONG? I'll tell you what's wrong!" I screamed in frustration. "All of my files have been deleted! All of them! The Surprising Enemies, Comings and Goings, and all of my stand-alones are gone!" Danthria looked at me and smiled.

"Well, it's okay. You don't have to worry about them. If you really need them, you can just retype them." Danthria said, matter-of-factly. I glared at her.

"Well maybe I still have to send them out! I still have to send a bunch of them to Cynthia and because of you I have to rewrite them! Where am I going to find the time to do that! I have to write down the story ideas for the new stories, get all of the homework that I have to do finished, get housework done, and now this!" I took a deep breathe and pointed my finger at Danthria accusingly.

"This is all your fault. If you hadn't been pouting, none of this would have happened!" I screamed out. Danthria backed away from me and let out a small whimper. I immediately felt ashamed.

"I'm sorry, Danthria. But I have so much that I have to get done. I didn't mean to take it out on you." I apologized to the young muse. She smiled at me.

"That's okay. I know you didn't mean it." I breathed a sigh of relief and turned my attention back to the screen, trying to locate any of my files. After a long while, with Danthria helping me, I managed to find many of the fics, including the one that I had been working on.

"See, I knew you would be able to get them back!" she exclaimed. I looked at her and raised my eyebrow.

"I still don't have all of them, though. That means I still have to type most of them up." I explained. "And I have to tell Cynthia and KJ that it might take awhile to get the fics to them." Danthria shrugged her shoulders.

"So? They'll understand. Just tell them that they were accidentally erased and you have to type them up." she said. I looked at her and grinned.

"Should I also conveniently forget who erased them?" Danthria looked around innocently as I got back to the story at hand. Danthria looked at the story and them back to me, giving me a look.

"You should be typing the stories up, not writing this one." she scolded me. I shrugged my shoulders and stuck my tongue out at her.

"I have an idea for this one. I want to get it down before I forget it." I said, getting back to work. Danthria looked at it and her eyes widened.

"People are going to be very mad at you when they see what you do to Tommy and K-" I quickly covered her mouth, muffling the rest of her words. She glared at me as I covered her mouth, and bit down.

"Oww." I cried, pulling my hand away from her. "Those baby teeth of yours hurt!" She smiled up at me, showing her teeth. She looked at the story and read it, reading it. Shaking her head, she looked up at me.

"They're never going to buy this part. I mean read it yourself!" I reread the paragraph, sighing as I agreed with her.

"You're right. But what am I going to have them fight against?" I asked, turning to look at her. She smiled at me and walked over.

"You should have them fight-" she whispered the rest in my ear, and I felt a smile crossing my face. I reached over to her and patted her on the back.

"That's a very good idea, Danthria." I commented. She looked at me with a smug smile on her face.

"I know. That's why you picked me." she announced. I rolled my eyes and turned back to the story. A couple minutes later, an annoying voice interrupted my typing.

"Pleeeaaaaasssseee write a story about me. Pllllleeeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeee." Danthria begged, whining again. I covered my ears with my hands, trying to drown out her whining. I looked over at her, and smiled as she gave me her infamous puppy-dog face. I sighed and threw my hands up.

"Fine, I'll write a story about you!" I saved the work in progress and looked at Danthria. "What do you want it to be about?" I asked. She paused for a moment, putting her claw up to her chin. Suddenly, her eyes lit up.

"I know! Write a story where I single-handedly save all of the power rangers, defeat the bad guys, save the innocent bystanders, repair the damage made by the monsters, and be commanded as a national hero, Then, the evil villain-" I zoned out as Danthria went on and on. "-and Adam dumps Tanya realizing that I am much better then she will ever be." That immediately caught my attention.

"No, I don't think so. I like Adam and Tanya to be together!" Danthria glared at me.

"I don't. Adam should be with someone else. Anyone would be better than Tanya! Maybe Trini, Aisha, Kat, Kim, wait scratch Kim. You write about her to much." I glared at Danthria, who raised her hands in her own defense.

"You do! Memories, Thoughts, Lovers Reunion, the whole Surprising Enemies series, etc. But anyway," she continued, ignoring the looks I was giving her. "What about Ashley, Cassie, Kendrix, or Maya? Sure they may be younger, but it could work!"

"Sure it would. Anyway, back to your story. How about I just write-" I named ideas off, watching as she shook her head about each one. I looked at her, exhausperated.

"How about until you think of one, I get back to the story in progress?" Danthria barely looked at me as I brought up the waiting story, writing the next section.

THE END!
