Disclaimer: Power Rangers, characters, etc. belong to Saban. Jenny is mine. What else can I say?

Author's Note: This note is kinda long so bear with me. This story is not related to the Spice Club series except for Darkonda's fascination with Jenny. This story fits along with "Who's Crazier" and "Just One of Them Days." If I had to come up with a name for the series, I'd call it the "Typical Civilian" series. To make the comparison easier, I've made a little chart....

Spice Club (SC): Space Rangers are featured (Andros, Ashley, Carlos, Cassie, T.J., and Zhane).
Typical Civilian (TC): Turbo Rangers are featured (Tommy, Adam, Kat, Tanya, and Justin).

SC: Space villains are featured (Astronema, Ecliptor, Dark Specter, etc.)

TC: For the most part, Turbo villains are featured. As I said, Darkonda will also be involved in this story.

SC: Jenny is actually a bloodthirsty demon who's been fighting evil for five years.

TC: Jenny is just another timid teenager, alive and totally human. Also, although she has some martial arts skills, she doesn't have what it takes to fight Darkonda or other evil forces.

SC: When Tommy was the evil Green Ranger, he murdered Jenny's father; therefore, she hated him.

TC: Jenny's father is alive and well, so Jenny doesn't think of Tommy so harshly.

SC: Jenny had her friends, the Spice Club members to hang out with, as well as the Rangers.

TC: The other Spices don't exist in this particular universe.

Now, without any more delay, here's my fic.....

Another Day, Another Dilemma
by: Crypt

It was a beautiful Saturday morning. As usual, Jenny was an early riser. She woke up at about 6 a.m. and went downstairs. Her father, Daniel, seemed to be even an earlier riser. He was already up and cooking breakfast.

"Good morning, Jenny," he called.

"Good morning," Jenny replied with a chuckle.

"I've got a surprise," Daniel said. "How would you like to go camping for the weekend?"

Jenny gasped in surprise. "That would be great!"

"Great! Let's pack up and go!"

* * *
Later that day, the Turbo Rangers were called to face a new villain.

"Welcome, Rangers!" the creature called.

"Who are you!?" Tommy demanded.

"I am Darkonda, bounty hunter. Evil is my business."

"Well, good is our business, and you're going down!"

Darkonda took his basic fighting stance. The Rangers pulled out their weapons and charged at him. However, Darkonda proved to be a tough opponent. He used his flaming sword to fight off the Rangers. The battle was kept short.

"That was only a warm up, Rangers," Darkonda called. "I'll be back, and then you won't be so lucky!"

He vanished in the blink of an eye. The Rangers gasped.

"Now what do we do?" Kat asked.

"I guess we wait," Tommy said. "There's nothing else we can do."

They gripped their belts and teleported out of the park.

* * *
Darkonda reappeared in the woods outside Angel Grove. That was where he stayed when he was just waiting to ambush someone. He didn't have a particular project to go with his plan, so he grew kind of bored. He could always go after the Rangers again, but it was too soon after the previous fight. It wouldn't make sense to go after them again.

As he walked through the wood, he heard a couple of voices speaking.

"Whoa! How much farther, Dad?"

"Almost there. Keep going."

Darkonda traced the voices to a camp sight. There were Daniel and Jenny carrying a heavy log.

"Okay, drop it," Daniel said.

With an exhausted groan, they dropped the log into the circle of stones which would be their fireplace. They already had their tent and other essentials up.

"Wow, that was heavy!" Jenny exclaimed.

"Don't worry; the worst is over," Daniel told her. "Now stay here while I get the cooler."

"Okay."

As Daniel walked back to the truck, Darkonda stared at Jenny with great interest.

"Who is that fair lady of my dreams?" he asked himself. "Where did she come from? How can I get her for my very own? Think, Darkonda, think! I must have her! Hmm.......of course! I'll wait until dark, and then....."

* * *
Meanwhile, the Rangers hung out at the Angel Grove Youth Center.

"I can't believe we're just waiting around for Darkonda to make his move," Justin said.

"Well, there's nothing else we can do," Tommy told him. "Remember, Power Rangers just don't go looking for trouble. We only fight monsters to defend ourselves. But once Darkonda attacks again, we'll stop him."

"Yeah, he's right, Justin," Kat added.

"How come we haven't heard from you-know-who in a while?" Tanya asked. "Think she's given up?"

"I find that hard to believe," Kat said. "But it does seem like she's been leaving us alone lately."

"Nah.....I'm starting to get a bad feeling that she's up to something big....." Tommy said. "We'll have to keep our guard up."

"Hey, did you hear about Jenny?" Adam spat suddenly. "She's camping in the woods with her father this weekend."

Kat looked out the window. "Yeah, it is a beautiful day. I'm so happy for her."

"I'm sure she'll tell us about it when she gets back," Tommy said. "I wish I'd thought of going camping."

"Yeah!!" Justin exclaimed.

The Rangers continued to enjoy this beautiful weekend......

* * *
The evening approached in the woods. The night was just as beautiful as the day. Daniel was cooking stew for dinner. Jenny just sat and watched the sky.

"This is so perfect....." she sighed. "I don't know what could make this day any better."

Darkonda still hadn't grown tired of watching her from the trees.

"I don't know about getting better, my dear, but I know what could make the day worse," he mumbled aloud.

"So, are you hungry?" Daniel asked. "Dinner will be ready soon."

"Oh yeah," Jenny said. "The fresh air just whets my appetite."

"Ah.....now is the time to strike!" Darkonda told himself. "But I have to lure them away from their dinner for a moment."

So what was his plan? He called out to them with a ferocious roar, then vanished. When Daniel and Jenny heard it, they looked in his direction.

"What was that?" Jenny asked.

"A bear?" Daniel suggested.

"No way. That did not sound like a bear."

"Well, we'll find out what it is together."

They stood up and began walking in the direction of the hideous noise.

Once they were clear from the fire, Darkonda appeared in the camp sight.

"Here we go! I don't have much time...." he said.

He approached the pot of stew and pulled out a small brown bag tied closed. He untied the bag and poured a white powder into the stew.

"This powder will definitely take effect on both of them. Once it does, then I'll be free to take the girl and find out more about her!"

Once the bag was empty, Darkonda disappeared again. And just in time, because Daniel and Jenny returned to the camp sight.

"Now that was definitely weird!" Jenny exclaimed.

"Well, the woods can get scary at night," Daniel said. "But if we keep the fire going, we should be safe. Oooh, I think the stew's ready."

"Then let's eat!" Jenny cried happily.

The campers got themselves a bowl and ate their dinner.

"Oh Dad, that was great!" Jenny said.

"Yeah, thanks," Daniel responded. "Look, I don't know about you, but I'm off to bed."

"I'll just hang out here and look at the stars some more," Jenny said. "Heck, I think I'll sleep under them."

"Okay. Don't stay up too long."

"I won't."

Daniel went inside his tent. Jenny looked up at the stars.

"Any minute now....." Darkonda told himself.

A few minutes went by. Jenny let out a yawn. She felt her strength rapidly draining, so she lay back on the ground. She found it more and more difficult to keep her eyes open.

"Oh man......" she sighed. "What's happening to me?"

She placed a hand on her forehead, groaning, struggling to stay awake. But she only felt weaker. She breathed heavily, blinking her eyes slowly. However, she was unable to fight the effect of Darkonda's powder. She closed her eyes (for good this time) as she slipped out of consciousness and into a deep and dominant sleep.

Darkonda closed his fist in triumph. He had her now! He stepped out into the camp sight and kneeled close to Jenny to get a better look at her beautiful, unconscious body. He took her hand and grasped it gently.

"Ah....it is done," he said. "I'll be with you in a moment. First, I must complete a final phase of my plan with your father. Wouldn't want him worrying about you, would we?"

He placed Jenny's hand carefully on her stomach and gazed at her lustfully. Then he went into the tent where Daniel had fallen under the same effect of the powder. Darkonda pulled out a watch and swung it over the sleeping man's face.

" I am your master. Listen and listen well," he said. "You cannot awaken until your daughter has been returned to you.......IF she is returned to you. Understand?"

"Yes, Master," Daniel responded feebly.

Satisfied, Darkonda left the tent and returned to his target.

"You're coming with me," he told Jenny, even though he knew that she couldn't hear him. He lifted her into his arms. "Once we get home, I'll have my way with you.....the way I want to."

With that, he vanished from the woods.

* * *
Many hours passed since the powder had taken effect. Jenny woke up slowly. She was aware that she could think, but nothing else.

"What happened to me? I......I can't move!" she thought.

She couldn't figure out why she couldn't move. She tried to open her eyes.....but she couldn't do that either. Thinking that she was still at the camp, she tried to call out but her father.....but her speech was muffled. What had happened to her!? Suddenly, she heard a pair of hideous voices from her immediate left.

"Hey, I think she's waking up!"

"Should we call on Darkonda? Do you think it's okay to take the blindfold off?"

Now Jenny knew why she couldn't see. She was blindfolded! But what about the other questions that burned in her mind?

"Darkonda, she's awake!"

Darkonda came into the room and looked down at her. "Is she?"

"Yes, but I don't think she's quite recovered from your powder."

"Want me to remove the blindfold?"

"No," Darkonda snapped.

He approached Jenny, who was still half asleep, and removed the blindfold himself. Jenny squinted in response to the light penetrating her eyelids. She let out a pitiful groan as her eyes fluttered open slowly. It still took her a few minutes to gather her surroundings. Once she did, she immediately became horrified as all her questions were answered. She couldn't move because she was strapped to a table. Darkonda had overdone it. There were so many straps over her body, she was almost completely covered. She couldn't speak because she was gagged. She lifted her head as much as she could and stared down at the straps. Then she looked up at Darkonda, gasping.

"Welcome, my dear," he said. "Perhaps you're wondering where you are. Well, this is my lab where I come up with my evil plots to capture the Earth."

Jenny squirmed against the straps, but it was no use. She stopped and looked up at Darkonda again.

"It is also here that I created my henchmen, the Crocotoxes," he added.

The Crocotoxes laughed evilly, frightening Jenny even more. Darkonda placed a hand on her forehead.

"Now, now, I know how uncomfortable you must be. You must be dying to know what I have in store for you. Well, I'll tell you. First, I'll use you as a hostage in order to lure the Power Rangers to their destruction. Once they're out of the way, I'll just toy with you for all eternity."

Jenny cried out into her gag in protest. Darkonda grew weary of just talking to her.

"Now, talk to me, my sweet."

He removed the gag, and Jenny coughed violently. Again, Darkonda touched her forehead.

"You all right?"

Jenny finally managed to stop coughing. "What.....what happened!?" she gasped.

"It's simple," Darkonda said. "I brought you here while you were in your beauty sleep."

"But I wasn't ready for sleep yet.....I just don't get it."

"Thanks to my powder, you were."

"What?" Now Jenny looked confused.

"I slipped something into your stew when you went off to investigate the noise," Darkonda explained. "It was only a mixture of herbs and flowers ground into a fine white powder. It causes the victim to fall into a deep sleep. That's what happened to you."

"Why?" Jenny asked. "Why did you do this?"

"I had to find some way to get you here without anyone knowing. And don't worry about your father. He shouldn't be too worried. Not that he hates you now......it's just that he won't know that you're missing!" Darkonda began laughing menacingly.

"That's not funny!" Jenny yelled. "Let me go!"

"Why? I'm having so much fun to let go!"

"Why have you brought me here?"

"I brought you here because.....because.....I love you," Darkonda told her.

"What!? Oh no!" Jenny was more frightened than ever. First Elgar falls in love with her, and now Darkonda. What was she to do? She stared down at the many straps that restrained her tightly. "You don't even know me. How could you possibly love me?"

"I do know one thing: You're beautiful. And I need you."

"No way; I'm getting out of here."

"I know you'd love to get out of here, but I'm afraid you're all tied up at the moment." Darkonda laughed at his own joke. The Crocotoxes laughed, too. Jenny hated all that laughing.

"Oh, help me....." she mumbled.

"Well....." Darkonda continued. "While we're waiting for the Rangers, let's have some fun."

He pressed a button that released all the straps. Jenny instantly scrambled to her feet to get away from her captors.

"Oh, come now," Darkonda said. "There really is no need for resistance. There's no escape, and you know it."

"No, I don't," Jenny said shakily. "I'll either get out of here, or die trying!"

She ran past the Crocotoxes. Darkonda pursued her calmly. Jenny raced into a separate room, but Darkonda suddenly appeared in front of her. Jenny was unable to stop in time, so she ended up crashing into him. Darkonda embraced her tightly as the Crocotoxes entered the room.

"All right, Crocotoxes, let's have some fun!"

With that, he shoved Jenny into the first Crocotox. He held her for a few seconds, then shoved her into the second Crocotox. Then this monster shoved her back into Darkonda. This game of catch continued for some time. No matter how the girl struggled, she couldn't get out of the circle. Thankfully, after a while, the Turbo Rangers teleported into the lab. Upon their arrival, the monsters stopped as Jenny ended up in Darkonda's grip. Her breath was shaky and tears fell from her eyes.

"Rangers!" Darkonda shouted.

"We've heard what you've done, Darkonda!" Tommy screamed. "Let her go!"

Darkonda shoved Jenny behind him. She fell to the floor. Then the monsters charged at the Rangers. Adam made his way over to Jenny.

"You all right?" he asked.

"I.....I am now," Jenny replied.

The other Rangers joined them.

"Hey!" Darkonda yelled. "Give her back! She belongs to us!"

"She doesn't belong to anyone," Tommy told him. "You kidnapped her!"

"No! She's mine!" Darkonda shot a tendril at Jenny, which tied her hands together. Then he yanked her towards him. She also spun around, causing the tendril to wrap around her body. When Darkonda pulled her to him, he threw an arm across her chest.

"Finish them off, Crocotox!" he ordered.

So, the Crocotoxes raced into battle with the Rangers again.

"Mmm.....sweet....." Darkonda kissed Jenny at the nape of her neck.

"Who are you!?" Jenny cried.

"Darkonda is my name, evil is my game."

Without warning, the tendrils were struck by energy blasts. Jenny screamed in fear until she realized that she was free. She raced back to the Rangers.

"Come on; let's get out of here before you get into any more danger," Tanya said.

"Just get me back to camp. I wanna go to sleep," Jenny told her.

The Rangers teleported away with her. Jenny was promptly returned to the camp sight and she climbed back into bed. She fell asleep quickly.

Shortly after, Daniel came out of the tent. He checked his watch.

"Good lord!" he cried. "I had no idea I slept so late."

Then he looked at Jenny. "I can't believe that she's still asleep. I'd better wake her up."

So he gently awakened his daughter.

"Oh.....hi, Dad," she said softly.

"Did you sleep well?" Daniel asked.

"Oh yeah. I slept better than one can imagine."

"Ready to head for home?"

"Yeah! I think I'm cramping up from sleeping on the ground."

"Then let's go."

So the small family packed up and went home. Jenny didn't dare tell her father or anyone else about her experience with Darkonda. She just hoped that she'd seen the last of him......but she feared the worst. Will she ever have any piece in Angel Grove???
