Power Rangers Lost Galaxy SP
Episode 8 - Switching Places
Episode Written By Mary

On the Astro Megaship Mesh, Mary, and Jessica were helping Damon with some repairs...

"Hey Mesh, can you hand me the Subatomic Neutralizer?" asked Mary, working under a jet jammer.

Mesh shook his head confusingly, "The what?"

Mary burst into laughter, "It was just a joke!" she said between laughs.

Damon shook his head and laughed, "So, what’s it like on Earth? I mean, where everyone thinks this is like, ‘make-believe’?"

"Well, over half of the people on Earth don’t even think you exist. In fact, most people find it down right hilarious when kids say the Power Rangers are real." Jessica stated, wiping the oil of her hands with a cloth.

"Really? Wow, that would be weird." Damon said.

Just then, Alpha came running into the room, "Data Rangers! The others are waiting for you at the Biology lab. They say they’ve got something that will help them find the Lights of Orion!"

The three Data Rangers exchanged glances.

"We better go see what it is." Jessica said to Damon and they all started to run out the door, but were stopped by Leo, Kai, Kendrix, and Maya.

"Whoa guys! Where’s the fire?" asked Leo laughing.

"No time to talk! See ya later!" Mary said and they rushed out the door.

Kendrix smiled and looked over at Damon, "Where were they going in such a hurry?"

"They’re trying to figure out a way for us to find the Lights of Orion before Furio does." Damon explained, then saw a laptop computer sitting on a work table, "I guess Mary forgot her laptop."

They all walked over to it and noticed it was on the web site ‘Star-Points’ and asked for a password.

Leo bent down over the computer, "Hmmm... I wonder what the password is..."

Kai looked closer, "It looks like the password is ‘Go Galactic’. Type it in and see what happens."

Leo typed it in and clicked the ‘ok’ button. A brilliant flash of light surrounded them, and then in a flash, the Astro-Megaship was empty.

"Hey guys! What’s up?" asked Jessica as she, Mesh, and Mary walked into the Biology lab.

"Well, Kate and I have been working on a device that detects extremely high energy sources. It may help us find the Lights of Orion." Krista explained.

Mary walked over and looked at it, "Really? That’s great! So, how does it work?"

"Well," Kate said and picked up the device, "It has a small satellite on the end with a trigger here," she said and pointed to a small trigger on the bottom, "It can detect high energy levels up to a million miles away."

Mesh walked over and picked it up, "Wow, this could really help us."

"It looks kind of like the Satellite stunner." Jessica observed.

Krista nodded, "That’s where we got the design idea. It does the exact opposite of what the Satellite Stunner did. Instead of giving off high energy beams, it tries to find energy."

Suddenly, the door opened and Commander Stanton walked in.

"Excuse me, but have any of you seen Kai and Kendrix? They were supposed to meet me in the Navigation’s room an hour ago." He said.

They all exchanged glances.

"Uh...well...last time we saw them they were near the Conference Room." Mary explained.

Commander Stanton nodded his head, "Well, if you see them tell them everyone is waiting."

They all nodded their heads ‘yes’ and he exited the room.

"Ok something’s definitely wrong. Kai and Kendrix are never late." Kate declared.

Mary hit her forehead with the palm of her hand, "Oh man. I forgot my laptop on the Megaship. I’ll go over and get it and see if Kai and Kendrix are still there."

Kate nodded her head, "Ok, but contact us if there’s ever any trouble."

"You got it." Mary said then left the room.

"Uh.... Guys? Where are we?" asked Maya as she slowly opened her eyes and looked around the strange room.

Everyone else opened their eyes.

Leo looked around; it was a bedroom but whose and where it was he didn’t know.

Kai slowly walked around the room then saw a picture sitting on a desk.

"Guys... I think I know where we are." He said and picked up the picture.

"Where?" asked Kendrix.

He showed the picture to them; "We’re in Mary’s room."

Kendrix shook her head, "That’s impossible. Mary shares a room with Jessica and Kate. Remember? On Terra Venture. This can’t be her room."

Leo looked around the blue painted room some more, then walked over to a window and looked outside; "Guys... I don’t think we’re on Terra Venture anymore."

Damon turned towards him, "If we’re not on Terra Venture, then where are we?"

Kai walked over to the other window and looked out, "I think we’re in their world."

"You mean, we got transferred into the Data Rangers world? The world where no one believes we exist?" asked Damon incredulously.

"Yep, I think that’s where we are." Leo said slowly nodding his head.

Kendrix walked over to Kai, "Where does she live on Earth?"

Kai turned to her, "Central Kansas City, Missouri."

They heard a door open and shut downstairs and a woman yell, "Mary? Are you home?"

Kai looked over at them nervous, "That’s probably Mary’s mom!"

"What are we going to do?" asked Maya frantically.

"Hide!" Leo said and opened the closet door.

The all ran into the walk-in closet and shut the door, just before Mary’s mom came into the room.

She walked in, looked around the room, and sighed, "The way that girl is you’d think she lived on a different planet." She said and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.

Everyone in the closet let out a sigh of relief.

"Well she was close. She lives on a space colony." Leo laughed and opened the closet door.

Kendrix opened the room door and peaked outside, "I think she left. It’s safe to go out now."

They all walked out of the room; not noticing that her other computer was flashing ‘Enter Password’ on the screen.

"Furio! Come in here and look at this!" Rito yelled.

Furio came running into the room, "What is it now?"

"Look at this! You’re not going to believe it!" Rito said, pointing at the viewing screen.

It showed the Galaxy Rangers in the Data Ranger’s World.

Furio laughed, then paced the room thinking, "Since the Galaxy Rangers are in the Data Rangers world, that only leaves the Data Rangers to defend Terra Venture!"

"This would be the perfect time to unleash Jerkuda." Rito interrupted.

Furio held his sword up in the air, "Yes, let Jerkuda loose on Terra Venture. Send some sting wingers along with him to make sure the Data Rangers are destroyed!"

Mary opened the door to the Astro Megaship and walked into the repair room and looked around.

"Hello? Anyone here?" she asked still looking around.

The room was silent.

*Hmm...That’s weird.... * She thought then walked over to her laptop. *I didn’t log into Star Points... But maybe.... *

She closed the laptop, put it in her backpack and ran towards the Biology lab.

"Hey guys, look at this!" Leo yelled from the living room.

Everyone ran in there and noticed Leo had turned on the television to the news.

On the TV a reporter was sitting in front of a desk.

"Police are still investigating the absurd attack on downtown Los Angeles last week. A man dressed in a strange costume was attacking innocent people; while people dressed in ‘Power Ranger’ costumes attacked him trying to make him stop. Investigators believe this disturbance may be connected to the child protest that the Power Rangers are real. Ever since a small boy claimed he saw the Power Rangers, kids from all over the world have started a campaign for supporting the Power Rangers. This entire ordeal is believed to be started by the popular kids television show ‘Power Rangers Lost Galaxy’. Saban Entertainment and the Fox Kids network would not comment. In other news, the weather in Kansas City today will be partly cloudy—" the reporter started but Leo turned the television off.

"Can you believe that? They think it’s stupid that we exist!" Kendrix said angrily.

"This is too weird." Damon said shaking his head.

"I don’t know about you guys, but I want to get out of here. And fast." Maya said.

"I’m with you on that one." Kai agreed.

Mary ran into the Biology lab trying to catch her breath.

"Mary? What’s wrong? Is everything alright?" asked Jessica as she walked over to her.

"They... went...our...world...I need.... Some.... Water...." Mary said in between breaths.

Krista got her a glass of water and Mary drank a little then sighed.

"Ok that’s better." She said and sat down on a stool.

"What about our world? Did you find Kai and Kendrix?" asked Mesh.

Mary took a deep breath, "I guess they found my laptop and logged into Star Points. I think they were transferred to our world." She explained.

Everyone looked at each other shocked.

But before anyone could say anything else, their communicators beeped.

"What is it Alpha?" asked Kate into her communicator.

"Ay yi yi yi yi! Furio just sent a monster and a group of sting wingers to the Terra Venture Park!" Alpha responded.

"All right, we’re on our way." Kate said then turned to everyone else, "We’ll have to take care of the monster first, then get the Galaxy Rangers back to their world."

Everyone nodded.

"Let’s do it!" Mesh said and they all got out their data stones.

"Data Stones, Online!" they yelled all together.

"Data Ranger 1, Green!" Jessica yelled and transformed into the Green Data Ranger.

"Data Ranger 2, Yellow!" Krista yelled and transformed into the Yellow Data Ranger.

"Data Ranger 4, Blue!" Mary yelled and transformed into the Blue Data Ranger.

"Data Ranger 5, Red!" Kate yelled and transformed into the Red Data Ranger.

"Data Ranger 6, Diamond!" Mesh yelled and transformed into the Diamond Data Ranger.

"All right let’s teleport to the park!" Kate said and with a flash of light, they were gone.

The rangers ran into the park and saw a monster standing by a picnic table.

"You picked the wrong day to go on a picnic!" Krista yelled at the monster.

The monster turned around and laughed at them, "Ha ha! Data Rangers, let me introduce myself! I am Jerkuda and I will destroy you!"

"He has a suitable name for himself," Jessica commented.

"Let’s show this jerk not to mess with the Data Rangers!" Mesh yelled and they all ran towards the monster.

"Sting wingers, attack!" the monster commanded then 6 sting wingers came out from behind trees and started attacking the rangers.

In a matter of minutes the rangers had all the sting wingers on the ground.

"Now it’s your turn Jerkuda!" Mesh said and they all got in a defensive stance.

The monster acted as if someone was commanding him to stop, "Rangers. I will be back. You can count on it!" he said, then vanished into thin air.

"Power Down!" Kate yelled and they were all back to their original selves.

Mary looked at all of them strangely, "Is it just me or was that way too easy?"

Mesh shook his head, "I don’t know, but we better get the Galaxy Rangers back here."

"Well, if they logged onto Star-Points using Mary’s computer, then they would automatically be sent to her receiving computer." Krista explained.

"My receiving computer is in my room." Mary said, "That must be where they are! I hope they haven’t gone anywhere! Who knows what kids will say if they see them!"

"Let’s use our Data Coms and teleport to Mary’s house." Jessica said.

The all nodded then pressed on their Data Coms and disappeared from the Terra Venture Park.

"What are we going to do? We can’t just stay in their world! How are we going to get out?" asked Maya as she paced the living room floor.

"There’s no way we can go back the way we came in, because there’s no telling where the receiving computer is. We’ll just have to wait and hope they figure out where we are soon." Kai said and sat down on the couch.

Leo looked around the living room some more, then looked at Mary’s closed door. He saw a flash of light come from the bottom of the door.

"Hey guys! I think they’re here!" Leo said and ran into Mary’s room.

As soon as he opened the door he saw all the Data Rangers standing there.

"Are all of you here? Nobody saw you did they?" Mary asked.

Leo nodded his head, "Yeah we’re all here. No one’s seen us, we had to hide from your mom though."

"My mom? Is she still here?" she asked looking around.

"No, she wasn’t here very long." Kendrix said as she walked through the door.

"We’re glad to see you guys! How do we get back?" asked Leo.

Mary looked over at her computer that sat in the corner of her room; "You could’ve just re-logged into Star Points on my other computer."

"You mean all we had to do was type in the password on this computer, and we could’ve been back on Terra Venture?" asked Kendrix.

"Yep. This is my receiving computer. I just have it so that if the Data Coms ever fail, which is very unlikely, then we’ll have an alternate way of getting back to our world." Mary explained.

By this time, all the Galaxy Rangers had came into Mary’s room.

"Well, I guess we better get back to our world." Kai said and all the Galaxy Rangers walked over to the receiving computer.

"How did you guys like being in our world?" asked Jessica.

"No offense but your world is too creepy for us." Damon said.

"Did anything happen on Terra Venture while we were gone?" asked Maya.

All the Data Rangers exchanged glances.

"We’ll tell you about it when you get back to Terra Venture. It’s a little hard to explain." Kate said.

The nodded understandingly and Leo typed the password into the computer and clicked ‘ok’. With a flash of light the Galaxy Rangers were back to their world.

The Data Rangers breathed a sigh of relief.

"The world makes sense once again." Mary laughed.

"Just another day in the life of a Power Ranger." Kate smiled.
